no, its an alcatel idol 4s, so technically french.
unless you mean the fact that all mobile phones are made in China, which therefore renders your comment meaningless anyway.

Don't look past the SD 652, it has about the same performance as the SD 810 without the over heating.
I'm using a SD 652 phone now and its faster than the note 4 and s6 edge plus that i previously had.

64 bit sd652 compares well to 32 bit sd808.

Specification seems good but I'm not sure I would want to pay £295 for it brand new though.
I'm sure there are a few Chinese devices out there that would be considered better than this but within the £175 price range. You just have to make sure you get it from a retailer that won't require you to send it back to China should anything go wrong.

I suppose it's a gamble buying a Chinese phone, the Homtom HT10 and UMI Plus both look excellent.

Not saying one is better than another but sd808 is 64 bit

the 652 is also 64 bit capable, and also features 4 A72 cores

All the reviews seem to say it's comparable in day to day use with the One Plus 3 even though it hasn't got 6 gb ram etc. but it is £150 cheaper; basically a tier down from the very top end flagships which are £500 more expensive.
It's second hand I hear you say. True but it's A grade, therefore mint condition (according to CEX) and has a 2 year warranty (with caveats, but a much better proposition than buying a Huawei / Umi / Vernee from China if something goes wrong). Worth a punt I'd say.
Having latest processor is like difference between i5-2500k and i5-6600k. Not that much difference as current gen mid tier (SD65x) is probably good as last gen top tier (SD80x). Ram wise I find 2GB vs less than 2GB is night and day. 3GB even better but more than 3GB 99% of people don't need it. Keep the money in your pockets.

I feel Qualcomm messed up the naming for the snapdragon 650 series, when you hear 6xx you think mid range not great Moto g performance, but the 650 is on par with an 808 even slightly better and that is Nexus 6p territory which screams and you don't get the overheating with it either haha

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago to try and have to say it's a cracking phone. Good solid build and pretty snappy, screen is stunning, the chamfered edges and the finish of the buttons are superb. Only drawback for me was the camera, it really was a disappointment.
A word of warning if you think this is easy and cheap to unlock...... It's not! £29 it cost me. I could only find one place that does it at the moment, even then though they can't get codes for all of them yet, I was lucky.

This is what the £135 successor to the smart ultra 6 should have been, not the sh*t mediatek version with the crap screen. SU6 was quite possibly the best VFM phone ever released, up there with the San Fransisco, especially when it was £80 on eBay early in the year. Great price, but can't help but think how many Samsung execs would have topped themselves had this been £175 on release.

These are great phones and I can speak from having used one for a few days. Easily as quick as my One+ 3 in day to day use and has the added bonus of an SD card slot. My only concern would be how often it would get updated.

agreed, 652 is a pretty capable processor.
GPU side it's a little weak but should be okay for the majority of android games

I have a smart ultra 6, but Vodafone are fairly elusive when it comes to updates. For this reason my next phone will be a nexus or Samsung. The spec might be good for a year then Vodafone will drop support.

Now Out of Stock.
You can unlock a Vodafone PAYG phone for free once you have had an active PAYG SIM for 30 days which would cost you a £10 top-up. Go via Quidco and you get £6 cashback so the net cost is £4.
"If you’ve bought a phone from a third party – like an online store, auction website or high street pre-owned entertainment specialist – the best thing to do is to get a free Pay as you go SIM online or from any Vodafone store and use it for 30 days. Then you can apply for a network unlock code (NUC) as a Vodafone Pay as you go customer."
Received mine today, was definately not grade A, covered in scratches and the camera lens was damaged. Will be taking it back to my local shop today. This was one of the last ones in stock, so bare this in mind if you order as you may receive it.

VERY grateful for info. I ordered one online last week and after 2 days they cancelled saying problem with my delivery address. I checked and address was fine so I ordered again..same result "problem with my address".[maybe just a get-out when they have no stock?] My emails to them receive no replies and the 0845 phone number they give for (all) shops is unobtainable. I thought with their description of A grade and the 2 year guarantee it was a reasonable price. But after your comments and my negative experience I won't be dealing with them. Thanks again.

To be honest I have bought a few phones from CEX (Although normally I like to get them instore instead of online), and most of the time the grade A's are immaculate. Whoever graded this phone needs an eye test, as my current 2 year old iPhone 5S was in better shape, which has never had a screen protector or case on!!.

I asked the guy at the branch I took the phone back to and they said there is no direct contact number anymore unfortunately, you will need to go in store with any issues. Pretty disappointing really.
