Mine has been discounted..but I purchased it directly from Vodafone, it won't work from E2save, then filled the application form for employee advantage discount which is available through their website, it was then approved in about an hour tops..
Can't complain so far about Vodafone customer service.

Nice easy port from giff gaff too

Spoken with Vodafone regarding changing to this deal. Apparently due to needing to send bills back with the new number you cannot gain the Cashback if you wish to keep your existing number as a existing Vodafone customer.

Has anyone else been successful in keeping their existing number with Vodafone and claiming the cashback?

Also where does it state about the 12 month Spotify account? Is this a premium account?

Thank you.

This is an absolutely brilliant deal. Well done op.

It was painful getting my PAC code from Three but got there in the end. Taking in the fact that this will save me £9.99 for Google Play Music with the free 12 month Spotify account this is an incredible deal.

Found it, thanks.

Interested in that offer especially due to NOW TV Entertainment subscription.
With regards to that NOW TV Entertainment - How does that compare to TV delivered by cable?
I'm about to cancel Virgin TiVo (currently "L" package") as my introductory offer expires next month.
I understand I will also need to buy NowTV box, which is fine, as TiVO seams to work horribly slow, hence hardly ever used.

I moved from ID Mobile (three) around week ago, and I'm very happy with Vodafone.
I always had problems with signal in London so that's the reason why I left ID Mobile. If you are using Spotify you will get one year of free premium account (£10) which will lower the price of this plan to just £3 for 25GB data, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 4GB roaming data!
This is an amazing deal.

Entertainment is included with this one.
Don't listed to E2S or Vodafone. The simple method is this, if the contract also exists on the Voda website, with the same name then the E2S version is exacltly that version. I have a working contract which is living proof of this.

24 Sep 16 1 #121
Yes but you'll either need to:
1. Phone retentions, explain them the offer and then ask them to match it (unlikely)
2. Call Vodafone on your current contract and ask for the PAC code, this will serve as 30 days notice on any current contract you have with them - if your contract is longer than 30 days remaining then you'll have to pay out to the end of the term (probably not worth it), using your PAC code transfer your number to any other provider on a PAYG sim, then order this deal, then ask the other provider for the PAC for the number you want to keep, then transfer this back to this Voda deal.

Welcome to the corporate BS that tries to bully customers into renewing expensive contracts.

sorry i wasnt, i sent my comment from work so dont know if that has anything to do with it.

i am just sitting wondering whether to buy two of these or the 20gb ones from vodafone , but i have been told over the phone from vodafone that the VEA discount will not work as i entered my code and it would not work so they then said on the phone that because its on promotion it will not work. the e forum on vodafone and tech on there are also saying it will not get discounted ( i have a 3 page thread going on there) , but on vodafone chat someone on there said it will be discounted !!!
thats why i was thinking of buying through topcashback and seeing if that gets paid within the 30 days i have to apply the VEA discount . i dont want to be greedy and get both i would just like my VEA but if i dont go through topcashback i cannot then go retrospectively through them if i dont get my VEA

sorry once again

Why are you spamming the thread?

I have uploaded proof via a screenshot earlier that shows that the VEA discount can be applied to these SIM-only offers. You're unlikely to get cashback plus the discount though, but I guess you can try.

Ok, so I had mixed feeling me having purchased this sim.

Initially I was elated, for me what a bargain because I subscribe to Spotify for £10 a month already, so effectively £3 a month for all that data and shiz.

Then I read the reviews in here, "I don't get service/4t" "Vodafone are rubbish" well I tell you what.. I have been running my iPhone which had my old EE and my new phone with this sim for the last three days doing constant comparisons..

I now get better coverage, better 4g, and in my dealings with EE and Vodafone customer services , Vodafone have massively come out on top!l

All my findings have been in London and around south east London so can't comment on being out in the sticks.

If you are in two minds about getting this sim, get it! Try it and you can always send it back before 14 days are up.. but I bet you won't!

Enjoy.

Hi sorry I didn't see your reply. My first experience with vodafone was terrible but it's got better. I left the sim in my phone overnight and come morning it somehow started working and 4G was available from inside. Granted speeds were still better on Three must of the time.

I was getting around 10mb down and 15mb up, fluctuation quite a bit.

I took both sims with me to work and overall Three had better speed but vodafone was not bad at all. It had reception must of the time and I didn't have any major issues.

Vodafone customer service on the other hand is a joke, I can't access my online account to this day. I am thinking about jumping ship to BT's 15GB mobile plan but I don't want to lose the spotify

Good deal but i would't stay with vodafone if they paid me, and they did almost 2 months free line rental, extra data eu roaming data and reduced contract price and i still paid to leave them early. I could bare being with them for another 4 months prefer piece of mind,I had problems within the first 2 months of my contract which should have been a warning but they were so quick to fix them and throw compensation my way i thought nothing of it. Moved to EE now, paying the early termination fee is the best money i spent. I had an official complaint still open ready to escalate but after having to call vodafone for last last 3 months multiple times for every fix they tried to cause more issues resulting in more calls im just glad to see the back of them. #rantover

Turns out that my Galaxy S4 I9505 didn't have the correct APN enabled on the device, although it was already listed, it wasn't using any according to the list. There were two Vodafone ones available, and I believe only one of them enables 4G (I may not have been patient with the first one). Usually androids prompt you when putting in a new SIM on what Operator and type (contract or PAYG) SIM it is and it reconfigures the settings automatically. It did this on my partners Galaxy S6, but mine didn't show for some reason. Hope this helps anyone who is having difficulties obtaining 4G. Also to add the iPhone 5 doesn't support band 20 (800mhz) which is what Vodafone use for 4G, so you will only get 3G max

I'm getting quite varied answers when I've contacted vodafone at the store and online chat. But in essence, both are saying I need to find out from e2save if the entertainment pack is included in the package or not.
It's either this is part of the tariff or not.

Claiming your cashback couldn't be simpler. You will need to send in your mobile phone bill at months 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12

Bill Claim Amount
Bill Dated December 2016 £28.92
Bill Dated February 2017 £28.92
Bill Dated April 2017 £28.92
Bill Dated June 2017 £28.92
Bill Dated August 2017 £28.92

The required bill must be received within 60 days from the date on the bill.

We recommend you send this by recorded delivery as we cannot be held responsible for lost items or claims that arrive outside the qualifying period. We also recommend you keep your proof of postage.

Alternatively, you can submit an online version of your bill via your My Account area (easiest method).

ALSO Please allow up to 28 working days. This allows time for the cheque to be processed, printed, and dispatched. (Cashback details)

I got my vodafone sim today and it's rubbish, There is no 4G connection and the the 3G(H+) signal I get despite being full bars just doesn't work. It somehow managed to download a bunch of vodafone bloatware but when I try to browse or go on youtube it just doesn't respond.

I also tested out the Three 4GB sim on here and the difference was night and day, setup was painless, quick and I had 4G appear within a minute or two after inserting the sim. Youtube works perfectly, fast as broadband. I did a speed test and got 11Mb down and 9Mb up. Just brilliant.

I am very disappointed with vodafone, will do some more testing tomorrow.

We have both EE and Vodafone in the house.

EE wifi calling was useless where Vodafones has been fine. As you know it's limited to certain handsets.

Have the signal boxes, managed to push EE to send out a free one and bought a Vodafone one second hand for £30, the shop have reduced then to £69

it's doubtful, you may need to transfer it to another network then request a PAC code from them to give to vodafone

https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly-products-services/I-need-to-end-current-contract-but-keep-number-for-new-contract/td-p/2512224

however, in theory, giving 30 days notice would make your old number move to PAYG, which you should then be able to use the PAYG to PM form

No, just directly with Vodafone as it was an upgrade so I don't think I would have been able to get it via e2save. I'm more than happy with £17.50 per month after discount (or technically it's £18.33 per month due to the £10 admin charge for the VEA discount being applied)

I would have been paying for Spotify Premium anyway, so to me personally it's a bargain for a lot of data, EU roaming and Spotify and I can see what deals are available in 12 months time but I am also allowed to upgrade to a tariff plus handset if something takes my fancy after 3 months.

I can tell you already realise you are wrong because you did the "classic" in resorting to abuse.

I have checked in-store who called the Employee Discount team who CONFIRMED that the £25 SIMO is currently ON OFFER so would NOT be available for ANY FUTHER DISCOUNTS

I hope that is now clear enough for you. I'm also sorry that it appears who ever informed you otherwise has mislead you. It is always easy to check on the website as the terms are clear so you just need to see if it's a STANDARD or Discounted (Offer) tariff

p-e-t-e, I called Vodafone today to upgrade to the £25/25GB SIM-only deal and confirmed with the agent that I can apply the 30% VEA discount to it, taking it down to £17.50 (although with a £10 one-off charge for applying the discount, apparently this a fairly new charge). That's crazy. Guess I'll be upgrading to this on Friday then.

I don't need anything like 25GB, but it seems silly to pick the other tariffs now they haven't got the entertainment pack and have heavily reduced roaming data allowances.

Actually, I might give them a call this afternoon. I'm off to Paris tomorrow, so the extra roaming data would come in handy. Upgrading 5 days early shouldn't cost too much, surely?

Am I right in thinking that if I took the tariff out as a new connection, I wouldn't be able to have EAP and Cashback? So Cashback is actually the cheaper route, but EAP is pretty much guaranteed.

it stated £5.25 but tracked at £15.15. I think i remember it being £15.15 for signing up for a monthly contract but with a phone, the £5.25 was meant to be sim only but i guess they're allocating it wrong.

on the my vodafone app it breaks down you're allowance into 20GB total and 4GB EU roaming, but i guess they've reduced it to 2GB now?

yes it's via vodafone.

Would not touch Vodafone with a **** stick; I'm three months in to an epic saga which started when I agreed to upgrade (read: remain a cash cow), against my better judgement, due to the debacles of my previous experiences. Over 24 hours on the phone later and after repeated lies, mis-selling, mis-representation, and general [email protected], I'm still no closer to a resolution. I intend to cancel my direct debit on Monday and refer them to the ombudsman. I will also take them to court for the costs of new business cards etc if I don't get PAC codes to enable me to move my numbers to another provider.

Worst customer service in the world! I knew that they have the lowest CS rating in the industry, but despite my low expectations they still managed to shock me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think EAP could be used in conjunction with any other offer? The price on this tariff appears to be one such offer.

Shame.

Its even better to buy from vodafone if you get 20% epp discount on voda tariff. I have gone for iphone 7 plus 128gb (jet black) - £63/month (20GB data, 24 months spotify, and unlim mins/text, 4GB EU romaing data) and £90 upfront deal. with 20% EPP off, tcb, the tariff comes out to be £17/month (except phone which is £819). At the mo, I pay £16.50 for 6GB data, free EU data.
Kraezae to Proj
10 Sep 16 1 #34
VA Discount has changed to 15% off on Handsets and 30% on SIMO Only. These can be applied to this deal also, so may be a cheaper option buying direct for some rather than Cashback deals.

Great deal, can you be sure the deal from e2save includes the Roaming minutes and Spotify though as I can't see any mention of it on their site?
Mitster to chutuk
10 Sep 16 #2
I believe so, others have mentioned in previous threads. Maybe worth calling Vodafone and confirming with them, and also e2save. When I called Vodafone yesterday, they were aware of the existing cashback deals via e2save and advised that your contract is still with Vodafone and you just go via e2save who set you up.
Mitster to chutuk
10 Sep 16 1 #3
Just confirmed via chat and phone that you indeed can have the Spotify, NOW TV or Sky Sports for 12 months via E2SAVE
Rhythmeister to chutuk
10 Sep 16 #7
It would seem to be on all the Red tarrifs as I've got the perks too on a 20GB deal and I think I had them on my previous 6GB contract

e2save have no mention of spotify/star sports etc. is that something via Vodafone then?

10 Sep 16 #20
Where does it actually say that you have 4GB EU roaming allowance? Does it apply to cheaper deals (with 8 and 20GB) too?
Mitster to winni77
10 Sep 16 1 #26
The 20GB plan only has 2GB Data for EU Roaming. The 25GB plan has 4GB. It's on Vodafone's website.

Can confirm that it does come with 12 month entertainment pack as it's part of the red bundle sims, bought one via e2save but with 12gb data only.

Word of caution though for those who are going to buy this, make sure to check that Vodafone don't charge you the full price when you get your first letter from them. Mine was mean to be £19.20pm before redemption and they were billing me £32pm as apparently e2save hadn't communicated this to them properly. Sorted now but worth keeping an eye out.
Mitster to novolizer
10 Sep 16 1 #6
Agreed - check your bill.

Also, the existing SIMO plans have changed, you only get the Entertainment on the 25GB plan now, and not even the 20GB plan. The 20GB plan has also reduced the roaming allowance from 4 to 2GB.

FYI - The reason why they have two lines for the same deal; one is for an 'iPhone' and one is for 'Smartphone'. Click on the 'i' and it will tell you. I only found this out after I ordered one for myself and partner, I received a confirmation for an iPhone red value sim, and she received one for smartphone red value sim. I doubt there is a difference, maybe to assist customers via some other phone when they select their device etc.

I tried to do the topcashback option, but I can't see an evidence of it when I click through to the basket.

Do you just go ahead and hope it goes through? Yes I'm clicking through the topcashback link.
