Given that your comments are aimed at me let me respond:
- This is a deal site, if a deals worth posting and will benefit people on here then irrespective of where the deal came from will share as most people will appreciate a heads up
- I've been transparent in my post stating the deal source. Various deals on here (including my own) are lifted and used by other deal sites without doing this
- Generally I find and post original deals (check my deal history) so the claim that I cant be bothered to find my own deals is somewhat a misguided claim
No-ones forcing you to be on the site btw but is probably of some benefit given that you are posting comments at 7am in the morning.

Our last Vax cleaner gave us small electric shocks so we sent it back.
We weren't very impressed with the quality anyway, but I wouldn't trust another one after that.
We've got a Miele now, which is much better.
Interesting how they charge £4.99 for delivery then send it with wait for it.. Yodel.
It sent shivers down my spine when I read that in the dispatch email.

I agree, the only issue I have is they say I saved £200 after ordering when in reality it was £94.01.
I was going to buy a new vacuum today anyway but I was going to settle for a £20 vax with a cord and instead ended up with some monster that comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. Oh well, isn't technology great?
(6 year guarantee really helped swing the deal and I liked the service emails they have sent with the guarantee dates on already so I know they will just be an inbox search away to find the details if I ever need them in the future.)

Some Vax models (the 6 year guarantee ones, at least) have two motors, one for the brush roll, another for the suction, to allow you to turn the brush bar off and pick up more efficiently on hard floors (there's a button that lets you switch on/off).
Re, hard floors - my model performed well on hard floors at 11:30 https://youtu.be/_QP4U_8HKDY?t=690 guess most of the Air 3 models will perform similarly.
Weirdly, ibaisiac (whose vacuum reviews I find quite therapeutic!) doesn't have much love for the Henry nor does he rate its suction power, though it is reckoned to be robust - his favourites seem to be Sebo or Miele.
*Should also point out that one of the great things about many upper range Vax-es is that they come with a very long cord (10m for my model), which saves you unplugging all the time.

Do you make this comment on probably at least 50% of the deals on here that come from newsletters and suchlike? A lot of mods deals come from affiliate emails, do you say the same to them? At least this one is upfront and clearly says its from MSE rather than others who pinch deals from there or mods who post 'deals' copied and pasted from the retailers emails.

Definitely would be better with the slider suction adjustment. We have the Vax U90-MA-Re and it doesn't have the adjuster. I noticed a brushbar bearing was seizing and called Vax to see what they could do, as it had a 5 year guarantee. They took my serial and model number and sent me the entire head but it looks like the one you show, nothing like mine. Removed the brushbar to use the bearing and found it was a different size. Just ordered a new brushbar in the end. It's a great vac just difficult to use on deep pile carpets and mats.

Absolutely appalling customer service. When Vax do these Autumn clearances they can't keep up with demand.
Took about 3 months of hassle to get my stuff last time around. It wasn't worth it really, the price was tempting to start with but after the numerous phone calls and 'computer says no' problems I wish I had just got a factory 2nd off ebay or Amazon instead.

If you can, go for the Vax uprights that have the slider on the brush bar (to allow you to change the suction). My sister's Vax U90-MA-Re Air Reach has this, but mine (Vax U88-AMM-B Air Max) doesn't.
Some of the Vax Air 3 models that didn't have this modification could be very hard to push on deep pile carpets.
Vax did offer an adaptor to try and alleviate the problem but it's not suitable for my model either https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fPLvfBl5IQ (ibaisiac is using the Vax Air 3 Total Home).
My Vax U88-AMM-B Air Max is a pre-EU regulations (Sept 2014, banning the sale of 1600W and above cleaners) model, so that may be why it isn't suitable for the adaptor or has a variable suction slider - or perhaps it took Vax a while to react to customer concerns?
Apparently "The power of cleaners will be reduced further from 2017, when the maximum will be 900 watts."

Move along little troll
I bought the one from here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ilife-v7-super-mute-sweeping-robot-home-vacuum-cleaner-dust-cleaning-with-2600mah-2462097
Lasts twice as long as the vax per charge (2 hours for the iLife) and picks up well from carpet including dog hair from my black labrador.
Maybe give vax a call
Took about 3 months of hassle to get my stuff last time around. It wasn't worth it really, the price was tempting to start with but after the numerous phone calls and 'computer says no' problems I wish I had just got a factory 2nd off ebay or Amazon instead.
NEVER USED THIS BEFORE.. easy to use? Just ordered one
.
Does any one know where to buy OEM compatitible filters for these VAX cheaply (for effective ones)?
Edit: My bad - they are refurbs I was looking at.
I would never have known about this if it wasn't put on here. I ordered last night and needed a new vac so I for one am grateful.
next time you think (or rather lack of) about commenting something negative I wouldn't bother if I was you, it doesn't look good on you.
Regards
"Get the MSE e Mail, copy the deals and post them on here rather than finding my own deals in the first place"
This site gets worse and worse.
Wonder how much Vax paid MSE to promote their products and brand like this. Not say that's necessarily the intention but that's kinda how this looks.
Also the last few times this has run people were getting a £10 off £50 personalised code once they had made a purchase, not sure if this is still the case
Heat added
OK...
Thanks Chanchi
...different gif, it's allowed
Some of the Vax Air 3 models that didn't have this modification could be very hard to push on deep pile carpets.
I'll try to find a better picture but you can see it next to the +.....- on the brush head.
If you zoom in on this picture you can see it a bit better http://www.dirtymarkscleaning.com/images/Vax-Air-Lift-steerable-pet-review.jpg (says "Select Floor Type" at the slider).
Apparently "The power of cleaners will be reduced further from 2017, when the maximum will be 900 watts."
...which is fine if you are planning to spend £150, but when you in my case are looking at something that costs £20, it's no longer that great a deal.
*edit* Beaten to it...
Slightly damaged box?
incl 3 bottles of good cleaning liquid for £10 - they don't seem to be repeating that or I'd be a buyer
Smoking deal :sunglasses:
...as long as I found it again
as long as you dont make me dress up this time
