Is this worth getting? I enjoyed fancy 3 farcry 4 was just the same game with less interesting characters.. Is this more of the same?

Any feedback from those that have bought / played it - any good?
Must admit I didn't see the appeal when it first came out - I loved the tech and weapons of the previous Far Cry games, so going pre-historic and fighting stuff with spears seemed an odd jump to make.

I like it - it makes a refreshing change from the rest of the series (and indeed most of the industry's obsession with guns). It plays really smoothly as well so is fun for what it is. Don't expect the story and characters of Far Cry 3 though, they're all cavemen.

Exactly, put it this way I completed the other 4 far crys but I put this one down after 10 or so hours because I just could not be bothered with it. All the fun it taken out with the lack of any proper weapons and the most infuriating thing for me is the dodgy prehistoric language you are forced to listen to throughout this game with no option of making them speak English or any other language for that matter. The graphics are amazing esp in 4k but its missing good chunks of the other games in the franchise. Pants...
