Erm, I have Amazon Prime, use Twitch but couldn't justify another subscription to another service, along with Netflix etc. I am now able to subscribe to Twitch for free, and support my favourite streamers....Win Win, and I didn't know about it before.

People can stream themselves playing video games and other people can watch, as well as interact with eachother.
A lot of people have made a living of streaming video games.

YouTube but live, and all the videos are people playing games. it's a crazy world we live in when people will happily spend multiple times a TV licence a month just to sub several of they're favourite channels, but at least they get the choice :wink:

I watch twitch instead of TV. £8 a month is for something called twitch boost which is where you got to watch with no adds, or you can do that for free with Adblock. Twitch is great because of the streamers with cool personalities and nice communities built around them. People like me who are not very good at games can enjoy them with other people through Twitch

I share a prime sub with somebody and only get the free deliveries. If I sign up for this on my own account. I will get

1 free twitch sub a month.. With this sub can I sub to different people and it keeps on rolling for as long as I have prime? Example
Subscribe to channel a in the month of October for free. November do I have to use my free sub for the same channel to stay subscribed? Or can I then subscribe to channel B for free and that carry on rolling for as long as I have an active prime account? Seems a very good deal to me

For anyone wondering like me.. it seems the subs roll on for the dutity of your prime sub. Which makes this an excellent deal if you have a few favourite streamers . I'm gonna go for this and cancel my Spotify, give Amazon music s little look at its the only one I haven't tried in all fairness. Thanks for spotting this OP.

Well if you are interested in football and want to see the best players around the world then you kind of need to watch the TV, and unless you go through other means your only choice is to pay sky or BT, most people's enjoyment of football extends beyond kicking the ball about in the park

You can stream anything. You can even stream your own webcam

People mostly watch someone for their entertainment value. A lot of people will watch their favourite player stream because of their high skill level of that game. Because of this you can learn many things that will help you get better at a game you play. There is a huge skill level gap between the top players and you're every day casual gamer.

It's the same as youtube except live. 'Pewdiepie' has 48m youtube subscribers and got popular off of playing video games.

He's talking about twitch turbo, which is another service you can pay for on twitch. It means you have no ads on any channel and you get a special badge next to your name. It is more expensive than a channel subscription, which is $4.99 (EU/UK have to pay an extra dollar so it's $6)

Twitch is not for everyone, but for gamers it is a valuable tool. There is a great community. I have met some like minded people who have similar interests as me. I game to people from all over the globe. We chat. We have fun. It is more interactive than TV. You can watch a new game and decide if it is worth buying or pick up hints and tips for games you love. People become personalities on Twitch h with 10 or 20 thousand watching them. With this new Amazon incentive, simply having a Prime account enables you to support your favourite Streamer. Most watch, some broadcast as I do, but all in all its great for gamers. Twitch is built in to PS4 and Xb1 out of the box. Anyone can broadcast. It is deceptively difficult to do well. It is free to watch or broadcast.

To watch is free yes. It's optional to 'subscribe' to a channel/broadcaster. It costs $4.99 USD a month to subscribe to 1 channel. You can subscribe to as many as you want. In the UK a subscription costs about £4 after they add the extra dollar and USD to gbp conversion. Twitch prime gives you 1 free subscription to a channel of your choice, every month.

it supports both the streamer, and keeps twitch running. Twitch takes 50% of the $4.99 and the streamer gets the other half. You also get a sub badge next to your name in that streamers chat, emotes exclusive to that channels subscriber which you can then use in any channel, and most channels have announcements for subs on screen and the streamer will say thanks to you live on the stream. So for free (if you already have Prime) its 100% worth doing to support your fav streamers and support twitch. If you're like me and you don't want TV, but watch streams, sometimes its nice to financially support those creating the content you're enjoying for free.
