You need a pad because it's near uncontrollable with a touch screen. Remember how frustrating and difficult it was on Playstation even with a pad in 1996? Well obviously you don't if you're trying to beat it with a touch screen lol

Had to go for this deal at 10p, but I expect to hate the touch controls. If it works with a controller and screen cast to a TV that would be ace.

Another mobile deal getting a ridiculous amount of heat based on "Wow, I paid £30 for this 20 years ago!" nostalgia. Yes, 10p is ridiculously cheap, but is anyone actually going to play it? Let's review what people have said here:
"will never play them !!"
"I expect to hate the touch controls"
"keeps crashing, but in fairness I would never play it ever again anyway"
As I've suggested elsewhere, it might be an idea to put mobile games in a separate section, or have an option to filter them out.

Regardless of inflections, ascii or anything else for that matter you are the one who started things off by making a snide comment in the first instance and then didn't like it when someone accused you of taking things too seriously to which you then decided to speak down to anyone who dared to respond to you

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say. I shouldn't feed the troll, but **** it.
Judging from your tone, I'm assuming you're too young to remember the days when Sega and Nintendo paved the way for home gaming (let's give Atari some credit, too). We were sitting in our bedrooms enjoying Sonic and Mario long before Sony came along with world-changing flagship titles like, eh... Crash Bandicoot?
And personally I couldn't care if gaming was a niche thing enjoyed by a minority, or a multi-billion pound industry fuelled by people who think FIFA and COD are as good as gaming gets.
Finally, to dismiss people who still respect Mario 64 as one of the greatest games of all time, a truly landmark experience, as "babies"? *slow clap*

Tone? It's words on a screen. Also Sonic and Mario long before PlayStation, what are you, twenties? Seems I was probably playing games before you were born. We have a biter over here. Way to make a big deal out of a bit of banter, step away from the keyboard and go outside for a bit big boy. They are video games.... have some perspective :D

Ah, the classic defense of someone who has no defense: "I was only joking. Stop being so serious." Well played.
Tone (adjective): "the general character or attitude of a place, piece of writing, situation, etc." Yes, writing can have tone. See? You were being dismissive - and arguably quite offensive. It's a classic troll tactic to post inflammatory comments merely to elicit a response, and in that respect you've succeeded. Good trolling, sir.
Genuinely surprised that you're older than twenties when you're calling your peers "babies", but enjoy your Sunday evening on the supposed moral high ground regardless.

It's not a defence, it's an observation. You seriously need to chill out if throwaway gentle, harmless remarks not even directed at you personally get you so inflamed!
You just bit, because you're a crazed aggressive argumentative pedant. Now THAT is directed personally at you. It's a HUKD comments thread about videogames. Not a political debate. It really doesn't matter that much. The fact that you took my comment so seriously and personally to heart suggests you may have issues you need to look into.
I think what you also need to do is ask yourself why you picked up on my reply, and not the originating comment which arguably is a troll all of it's own ESPECIALLY when it has little reference to the Tomb Raider in question!. My reply was just joking banter with a hint of a point. Your reply is aggressive stupidity.
Just.......step away from the keyboard already kid. It might do you some good.

Have Sony ever got round to implementing a decent controller?
Whilst in the days of the 2600 the novelty was enough to keep me playing til I got blisters, in later life I'd aged into a gamer that was and still is too much of a baby to deal with crap controls in games hence why though having owned them I discounted the Jaguar, PlayStation and Dreamcast as game machines to invest any serious playtime into. It's the same reason I hardly ever purchase games for my phone.

It's all a matter of personal preference I would imagine. I never had a problem with any of those machine's 'official' controllers nor the first xbox which people complained was so large Microsoft revised with an S model. The people I knew that did just picked up aftermarket pads especially for the later machines.
I recall many fantastic third party peripherals over the life of the Playstation. I particularly liked the negcon, several quality light guns and a few good arcade sticks. Even had a mouse for the games that supported it!
The most complaints I ever heard were for the dreamcast pad and lack of a suitable cast specific alternative. A lot of people just started to use a dual shock converter that supported the analogue stick.
Well, apologies in advance if I fail to meet the lofty standard you've just set for maturity and intellect, but you do have the advantage of age to be fair.
A further apology for misinterpreting your original comment. I'd assumed from the dismissive tone (we established that words can have tone, right?) and earlier use of "lol" as punctuation that you were in fact around half my age. My bad.
Let's both chill and appreciate the hilarity of your original comment:
