Tired of hearing Apple Fans going on about the New iPhone? You know, the same one from last year but probably a differently colour and battery life of a Motorola RAZR? - You could even use them as wireless headphones and look cool (if it were 2011)

A lot cheaper also.

Just stick two of these in and you'll be at peace forever

T&Cs - I am not responsible for you walking in front of a bus etc

I don't understand people who don't need an IPhone or indeed an updated one. Can you imagine the shame of being seen with anything else. Imagine being on the train, bus or even in a restaurant with a Samsung the humiliation would be unbearable so for that reason alone I shall be buying one for my wife and kids as well as myself. My ARS. I will.

These are really hard when in the ear keep putting pressure to the ear canal hence they always gave me pain. But the laser lite earplugs are much better and soft. They are very soft memory foam like earplugs but no matter what type of earplugs you use they increase the chance of getting ear infection in fact everyone gets slight small infections if they use earplugs as when earplugs are in your ears the bacteria by %400 apparently so be careful...

The PS4 vs XBOX debate doesn't result in nearly as much **** taking and poor humour as the Android fans trying to badmouth Apple. It's far more mature despite being about a games machine, as opposed to pocket sized computers you can run an entire business from.

Another sh*tpost by an Android user. The funny thing is, I've seen no Apple users shouting about the new iPhone. In fact the only thing I have seen is Android users belittling and outright insulting other people just because they choose to use a different device. As if other people having an iPhone causes them physical harm.

All I see is that the school yard bullies from back in the day have grown up (only in age, mind) and bought Android phones, and used their personal choice in mobile phone to continue to bully people. It's really sad.

iPhone users don't come on this site very often because this is a Deal site not a rip off site. When someone posts a "good deal" for Apple it goes into minus figures. It comes from the old mentality that you buy good you buy once which Apple have latched onto and sell mediocre products that are reliable at a premium price. but hey we all know that anyway don't we.

I used to think that, I was wrong.

It seems that way because the second hand price for iPhones is quite high, but that's because the first hand price is really high

nitro228
8 Sep 16 #76
Not really, you're not forced to use a proprietary connector, you even get a lightning to 3.5mm Jack adaptor in the box with the iPhone. Makes perfect sense to remove the (relatively large) connector to make room for other technologies. Audio quality can also be improved by removing the connector.

My phone actually cost less than most iPhones lose in the first 6 months.....it does everything an iPhone does, has a larger full HD screen, decent 12mp camera (anything bigger on a phone sized chip is pointless), has OTG & HDMI capability...4G, Dual Sim & currently 192Gb of onboard storage (64Gb + 128Gb SD Card)....best of all loads of FREE apps & not hog tied to iTunes or Apple for them either

I would find this funny if people could keep to the tone of the OP instead of using the thread as a soundboard for their irrational disdain of people who like to spend their own money on things they get joy from. If you enjoy the savings you make on your Android or enjoy the list of specs your premium Android benefits from then that's great, but why be so venomous towards people who aren't interested in the same things? Poking fun is fine but some people need to calm down and just enjoy their devices without feeling the need to wave pickets and shout at people for liking different things to them.

specs mean nothing if the software running the hardware isn't optimised. I've had both iOS and android, and although android is vastly more versatile, the freedom eventually compromises performance. For this reason I'm selling my s7 and going back to ios. iOS although more restricted tends to run flawlessly. The apps are optimised for the operating system, which is optimised for the hardware. Ram management is also more efficient, resulting in better multitasking. Sigh all you want about inflated prices of apple products but at the end of the day they are quality products with ease of use, and they sell.

Flagship Apple cost a similar amount to flagship Samsungs. The great-value handsets happen to also be Androids but that doesn't make Android a 'better value' proposition across the board. A friend of mine lost about £100 in eBay and PayPal fees after selling his Note 7 after only a few days. Samsungs cost about the same but don't hold their value as well - meanwhile I bought a 6S in May and sold it last week and lost £20. They're much easier to sell because someone always know someone who wants to buy an iPhone - because they know them and trust them.
My £450 G5 on the other hand recouped me £280 a couple of weeks ago. Not a great return on a premium handset.

Not a dig at Android as I have a lot of respect for it and have supported it since day one - I remember being thrilled that my network was *the* network to be carrying the original G1 - the precursor to the Nexus.

I just think people are a bit too keen to bash Apple and their users for no good reason. No one is being harmed by their products and a lot of people get a lot of joy from them. If you enjoy your Samsung, LG or even Oneplus 3 so much then I don't see why you care so much about what Apple and its users are doing.

Meanwhile I'm going to wish I could afford to buy a Note 7 or an iPhone 7. That'll be the day.

IPods and iPhones do have software that is optimized as there is only one hardware the developer has to concentrate on.

Android like the pc have tons of different hardware combination and result is some apps work better then other on a particular phone.

The only thing that kept me away was lack of drag and drop and iTunes you had to have a special software on pc to transfer songs, then later the Bluetooth was restricted.

Enjoy your android and Apple's there are many other important things to worry about.

Apple/ samsung/ android/ windows are profitting.....just stop buying new products each year and making them profit for those that do, and for those that have theirs for 2 years, try and stretch it out for longer...i've made my iphone 5 last me 4 years this Nov, will try and stretch it out to 5 if the battery compensates for it.

You should be banned for posts like that. I get through at least 3 phones a year and normally carry two at once. The thought of keeping the same device for 4 years makes me physically sick. You need to get a life! And a new phone(s).

Loyal fan moving over to the dark side here, I'm bored of Apple now and their mediocre upgrades, even as an Apple fan I can admit they are being left too far behind now. The iPhone 7 is a big disappointment for me, so Samsung Note 7 here I come (on my birthday that is). Even comparing my iPhone to my mums Galaxy Note Edge makes my iPhone 6 look like a 3310.

Hi,
Your phone sounds ideal - which phone are you describing?
No glitches/software probs/bloatware etc?
Is it dual-active sim, or the usual dual-standby (I need the former, as I'd miss calls from the 2nd/standby sim if speaking on the first)?
Thanks
corred1964
9 Sep 16 #177
It's dual sim standby so no good to you.......I simply have sim no2 go to voicemail if I'm on the phone

No bloatware...actually almost Vanilla Android.....but only Lollipop

Had it 7 months now & not missed a beat....not one crash.......love having a 5.5 inch screen 1!

It would have been nice, but very unexpected, had Apple adopted AptX-HD
https://www.aptx.com/aptx-hd
then all sorts of bluetooth/apt-x devices could be used - docks, in-car adaptors, headphones etc.

my last two phones have supported regular AptX and the quality is excellent.

but hey, why adopt a standard when you can make money with your own?

What a waste of f. space! Like a load of bickering bloody kids. It wouldn't be so bad if the heat was maxed out at around 32 degrees (that would be too f. much!). A mate got a freebie Screwfix Boot Bag the other day and I asked how he got it? Came in the post as a freebie offer if you simply went to Screwfix and picked up their new catalogue. Well, well, next day I get the same leaflet and voucher in the post. Off to Screwfix, buy ****-all (that's what a hot deal is, spend nothing, get something (worth having of course, not some f. earplugs which I can pick up free anyway). Get my catalogue, get my boot bag free and a receipt saying £4.99, discount 100%!
Still with me?
I post it up on here as a freebie deal and it's taken down. What a waste of **** time! Yet **** like this makes it and goes heat ballistic? Unreal!
Someone else did get the bootbag up on hotdeals, it reached about 170 degrees ffs! This bag is really good to store stuff in the car boot or your boots! Screwfix have some good freebies and all you have to do is sign up to their marketing by post. Nothing free, bin it. But as for f. ear plugs, I can get any colour post free from China but I don't want any. Who wants to be deaf?

I think posts like this should be placed in a separate 'banter' forum and not count as part of the *real* temperature setup. It kind of makes a mockery of the site otherwise.

Not trying to be a Victor Meldrew but over the past 18 months I've seen a bit of a slide in reliability of this site due to a surge in elitism, bias and pointless rivalry. It doesn't belong on a deals site, which ultimately is supposed to be about finding people good deals. A set of earplugs (which incidentally you can pick up in Poundland) with a picture of non-related earPHONES as the cover picture reaching over 1600 degrees is all a bit silly really, and detracts from the 'hot' filter, which is supposed to be about finding genuinely hot deals and not jokes. Seems daft that mods can be so picky about expiring deals for small details (in order to keep the site consistent) but are fine with posts like this existing.

This isn't true.

The Irish economy gained by doing the deal with Apple. It was voluntary on their part and against EU law on unfair treatment by giving an advantage to a single company. Ireland wanted to attract Apple to improve their own income and for job creation. The unpaid tax in on sales OUTSIDE Ireland. The tax shouldn't be paid to Ireland The back tax should be paid to the countries where the sales were made and Ireland should be fined.
