its a shame they cant do things like this with some cheap foam in them for the same price so they are permanent, obviously not for camping but just for home use.

You can deflate it and travel with it!

You can get foam ones that fold from a single chair to a bed. Have a look on Ebay

These type of airbeds areok foruse once in a blue moonor emergency, but any longer and they develop pinholes where the stitching and joins are in the folds of the flock. A bicycle puncture repair can be temporary fix, but then another hole appears and you end up throwing the bed out.

Bought a Bestway flocked double airbed from Tesco (instore) a couple of weeks ago and decided to test it out. Seemed fine for 4-5 nights (had to top up each time), then woke one morning to find severe deflation. Had only been me (~11st) and my dog (~17kg) sleeping on it so hardly under severe stress. Not impressed. Took it back for a refund. Very wary of buying another of any brand.

He definitely wouldn't have used his teeth on it, and I doubt his claws could have done any damage given the flocked covering, mattress protector, thick sheet and 12.5 tog duvet in between. In fact, had he punctured it, it would have been completely flat. Definitely a slow puncture from a seam/join, IMO.

Submerge it in the bath and pump some air in, you will soon find the leak.
