Ours is gathering the same dust for exactly that reason.
Haven't voted either though as some people might prefer this portable version.

Maybe its all down to individual patience (and creativity!) but with the Wii U version it felt great at first and then slowly began to get a bit boring putting levels together. I do like the challenge mode though and also playing random levels.
Not sure if its enough though for me to want to buy the 3DS version.

Nintendo kinda missed the boat from making Mario Maker even bigger and better on 3DS if it had been released at the same time of the Wii U version. Like they did with Smash 4.
Anyway, that's a good price, I'd say.

For a game that's novelty will wear off in a somewhat quick fashion, it's not worth the high asking price for imo. I paid £25 through flubit on launch for the Wii U version and it's now collecting dust.
Don't get me wrong, if you're an avid (or even extreme) Mario fan then this will be brilliant and you'll probably play this for ALOT more hours but me, personally as a game, I lost interest within the first two days of playing it.
It's nice to see Nintendo milking it by asking for such a high price.
