Work together with your friends or compete for the crown in the first multiplayer 3D Mario game for the Wii U console. In the Super Mario 3D World game, players can choose to play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach or Toad.
- Each character has unique abilities and play styles. For example, Princess Peach glides over gaps, while Luigi has his trademark extra-high jump.
- The new cat transformation allows players to run on all fours, pounce on enemies, attack in midair or use their claws to scamper up walls and goal poles.
- Explore colorful 3D environments filled with obstacles and contraptions like transparent pipes and vertical conveyor belts, which add new puzzle elements.
- Use the Wii U GamePad controller’s touch screen to search for hidden blocks and to freeze enemies in place.

Really is a sublime game. So accessible I can play it with my 3 year old, but so polished and refined in its gameplay that it's also the very best example of a core Mario game IMO. Joy in pixels.

great comment, I played it through on my own save file to properly complete the game, and had a separate file for playing with my kids, 3 and 6 at the time. Like playing two different games! A joy

i got to the last level and my 2 year old son spent the day playing with the controller and managed to factory reset the console. i lost everything. mario kart saves etc. now have a password on the console lol

Awesome game for the Nation's Favourite Console™. In all seriousness, I enjoyed it, but not as much as Super Mario Galaxy 2. Still the best 3D platformer of the generation, although that might not say much.

This and Mario Kart probably the best games on Wii U but, arguably, the most enjoyable is Rayman Legends.
...Pikmin 3, Captain Toad and Mario Party 10 are also the same price :smiley:

Nintendo always make top quality Mario games. Personally if we see a mario 64 two style game for launch with the Nintendo NX, it's going to be half successful at least. Certainly will make me pre order the console from day one.

Some people don't really think or notice that small detail that makes all the difference. Fingers crossed the next console will be region free so the whole PEGI/ESRB becomes irrelevant.

No misleading was intended. The original image provided by Base was simply so tiny that you would hardly see it on the deal. I just googled and replaced the image with a bigger one but must have missed the difference. Will update the post accordingly but I do think a tiny [E] or [3] on the corner of the image does not make any difference here since the price is more of an interest here. :smile:

Couldn't agree more. Its the only reason I keep the wii u hooked up to the telly. Massive fun in 2-4 player as well. For 17 quid? Amazing value.
