In the world’s darkest hour you are a commander of the Soviet Red Army, entrenched in brutal frontline warfare to free Mother Russia from the Nazi invaders.
It is 1941 and the beginning of what will become the bloodiest conflict of World War II resulting in over 14 million military casualties.
Witness the struggles of the Red Army from near defeat through their incredible triumph over Germany in the most challenging and costly theatre of the war, the Eastern Front.
Your military tactics hold the power to tip the very balance of this conflict. Engage in tactical combat that will define you as a military leader and wield the might of the Soviet Empire as you smash your way to Berlin.

Is there an official Stonewall (co-op vs horde) mode for this yet?

Hopefully it was just bad luck getting matched with plonks. For what it's worth I haven't been TKed in a good while (at least not intentionally - I sometimes 'get in the way' of an overzealous drone-chaser).
Though I did do the stupidest thing ever a few days ago - a teammate was very low on health so I offered to down him with my C4...yup, I reflexively pressed the wrong button and blew us both up . Luckily he was a good sport about it and I partially redeemed myself the next round .
BTW in case you haven't heard about it yet, watch out for the Valkyrie wall hack, it's nearly game-breaking!

I loved this game, but just couldn't get into Ardennes Assault and gave up on it after a few hours in frustration.

Rage quitted for the first time in any game for ages tonight. I was shot in the face twice by my own teammates on R6S.
I do hope it's not a sign of the direction it's taking.
I did message them with an extremely intellectual message however. "grow up m8"

This is probably my biggest love or hate game. I have games where I play and we have an incredible game where we come out on top and get the win. Even hard fought games that we lose are still great fun. But when yo get matched against a team who are clearly better than you in every way and you get trounced it makes me hate it.
The fact I've got ~300h on Steam may tell you though that the feeling you get when you get a great win is all worth it in the end. Heated!

Though surely you'd agree that's not the games fault? I have the same experience with countless MP games, most recently R6S.

I find that too. The matchmaking is very swingy. You get one game where you totally own the other team. Then you're up against pros and get destroyed. Then the next game you're up against total noobs... It's like it's designed to make sure you always win a game every 2 games, but you end up beating them so hard it throws you up several levels. Really lets the game down, when this really should be a solved problem by now.

Sadly they killed this game when they changed servers. Company of Heroes was an enjoyable game - so much so I think I'll go off and install it again!
