This blew my tiny mind when it came out on the 360, well worth it :man:

You don't need to buy the Vietnam DLC, can somehow just join servers for those maps without having it, think someone must of cracked it or whatever. Great game also, probably my favourite Battlefield.

Still my favourite

There are a few hundred people still playing this so it'd still be worth the purchase.
I've just discovered I already have this in my steam games list so if anyone wants to get a squad/ team together feel free to add me on Steam, I'm Lof666 iirc

I went for the deal but i forgot to check before purchase about joypad support, i prefer to use my Xbox controller whenever possible but it has little support for joypad.I find it unplayable after several attempts to try and configure pad.I can still request a refund so all is not lost.Great price.Heat added.

You could use a program like XPadder to emulate mouse/keyboard control on a joypad.

Battlefield went downhill after this game.

This was the one with sniper shotguns, right? Shotgun + Slug Shells + Magnum ammo = instagib sniper with zero bullet drop.
And makeshift DMRs that were actually decent.
And buildings that could be torn to shreds
And a decent medic class that actually felt worth the effort.
And of course the Vietnam DLC, which was awesome. Zipping round in a Little Bird with Guns n Roses blaring from the speakers

Brilliant game, still good amount of players online so I recommend it at this price!

Still the best in the series by far.
All they needed to do is add points for being a spawn point and give you the choice to be revived. Vietnam was brilliant also.
But no, the glare blinding, over animated pile of tosh called BF3 swayed DICE in the opposite direction and bizarrely the series is dead.

If you think the glare is bad in BF3, check out Rainbow Six Siege - when you look outside it seems like the sun is right out the door!
I thought BF3 was v good myself (after the patches) though I did prefer the BC games.

They said they fixed it in the last patch but it still feels like I'd damage my eyes if I peeked out a window .
Opening post
Also individual prices as listed above.
Arguably the best Battlefield game to date, and yes, in my opinion better than 4.
