Got last two thanks
Guy who served me wanted one and was trying other stores as i left :-)
Not often i get there though and the items have actually been put aside. Halfords and Currys should call their click and collect "lucky dip".

I have long suspected this at my local Halfords as many a time the system says they have stock, then it suddenly vanishes! Even with this order, I ordered two collapsible bowls but they "apparently" only have one in stock lol

haha i have a store 100yds from me and they called to let me know the store on the other side of the city had stock. hardly worth the trip to be told the same

Oos call from the store as well. People will wonder in 2 years why halfords don't exist yet they can't control stock.

I ordered as the site said they had stock. Got a call saying there's no stock and there wont be till Monday. Then got a text telling me my order was ready for collection...

I have it on good authority that people placing orders for good bargains flags it up to staff who then decide they want it for themselves, and place the call to advise its unavailable. Happens at Toys'R'Us as well apparently.

Thanks OP - ordered one to be collected from store on Monday - little one is 5 on Sunday so, finger crossed, he will get it as a belated extra pressie.

The only upside is that they are ordering them into the store for all Monday. Fingers crossed this time. My little (tiny) lad will love this as he grows in to it

Just reserve red at my local. Now let's see if they do their usual trick and call me later today telling me they have no stock and they're sorry but it's a system error

Had this twice at halfords within the last month. Reserved 2 Scooters reduced from £35 each to £10 - Lovely. Get to store "Sorry, we have no stock... But we can offer these at the same cost..." - What, Scooters that are already regularly priced £10? Cretins, shove it.

Reserved one. Not sure how practical it is having the entrance to the tent on the back of it, and the design on the front (Can't really put it against a wall or in a corner). But for £6 I'm willing to find out.
