Hmm that looks like a 5 pole plug which I would be surprised if it worked in all devices, most accept a 4 pole plug I thought? and regular hifi would be a 3 pole plug (or even 2 pole mono) mics - but this might well work giving maybe mono on some devices or stereo on others.
However it might well work in any device and it's a very decent price.

Going to punt it and have a go for my S7.
CEX give £4 for it if it ends up not working - if Vodafone dont accept the return.

Vodafone are legally obliged to accept it as a return, provided you haven't damaged it. If it is not misdescribed you might have to pay return postage though.

Does need 5 pole jack to work well. Reviews on Amazon say it works with other devices but quietly.

I don't know why you wouldn't just use the built-in mic for that - it should be positioned at the top of the lid. Otherwise, you'd want a desk mic in a stand, not something stuck in the audio hole in the side of the unit.

Edit Wow! Haha!! Let me reword this as originally intended. Can this record the noise of entire room, such you could record conversations and the like, and not hold it to you mouth for decent recording.
