After hearing about this, I checked to see if it was true. Smyths Toys did confirm that there will be a 20% Discount off everything excluding Electronic Items such as consoles and computer games.
The 20% OFF discount is taken on the latest marked price and will be calculated at the checkout. This offer is valid in store only and is not valid online. Offer excludes purchases of gift, savings or POSA cards, plastic bags, video games, games consoles, Samsung, Nabi, Meep, and Wikipad tablets, Kurio tablets, Skylanders figures, Disney Infinity figures, MP3 players, or accessories. Customer limits apply. No bulk buying. This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other promotional offers or money off coupons. Offer valid from 16th September – 19th September 2016 or while stocks last. Please note all promotions currently live in stores including BOGOF, BOGSHP and 2 for £15/ €20 offers will be included in the 20% off promotion.
Instore only and only between 16th and 19th September 2016.
Time to Stock up on them Christmas presents!
TIP- Last time ToysRUs also had a price match so it might be worth checking to see if they will do this again this year and to check to see if the item is in stock at your nearest store in order to receive the price match!

does it work for reserve and collect?
Andrew91
7 Sep 16#2
I would not think so as it would be classed as online, and so many people would do the same, some might not even collect the goods which would mean Smyth loosing out on a potential sale of the item that was reserved. However, it might be worth contacting them about that though.

Staff are told not to tell customers about this as the company would lose money in the run up to the weekend, as customers would wait until the weekend to buy. Click and collect gets disabled for the weekend as they wouldnt be able to honour or keep up with the demand.

What's worse is that like with the initial Rogue One Lego it's so close too....September 30th I believe :disappointed:
Mind you missing out on that £80 saving for the Death Star means I get to save £320 by not buying it! Oh why, oh why didn't I buy last year when it was £275-20%? Especially since there's been few real changes.

20% off a maxi micro scooter. Slightly better than the £20 off i posted last week which was voted cold. Still, if you want one at a discount this is a good deal.

Think she's hoping to combine the 2. 20% off the (discounted 20% off) price. So £100 -20% = £80 - 20% = £64.
Hefty saving if it stacks.

Went and got something. Absolute pandemonium, people with trolleys full of stuff. I knew not to go on the weekend but, jeeze I thought before 12 today would be ok. Surprised this doesn't have more heat because this was the only place I'd seen the 20% off mentioned. Were no signs at the stores yesterday when I was there.

Much more enjoyable once I was out of there. My partner stayed in the car as only went to get one thing. I saw people with trolleys full of stuff. My partner said some people had 2-3 trolleys full. I'm not surprised. Just wasnt expecting it to be as busy when I went. But I suppose if everyone was thinking of avoiding the weekend. All I can say is, it's definitely not the place to be if you have social anxiety or are claustrophobic. Even if you have either just slightly, it will be a nightmare for you. I was so stressed when I came out :(. But couldn't resist reduced Lego :D. Wish I'd bought more while I was there though cos I aint going back lol. This was the Gateshead Team Valley one.

Thanks for the heads up, went to today and can confirm the offer at the Milton Keynes branch.
Also the best price for a new Fisher Price Beatbo. £29.99 instore minus the 20%.
Also bought the tiger trike, it was good to see the difference between the smart trike as I could see where they cut corners to advertise so heavily on TV.
