Until Thu 29 Sep, we've blagged? Sky newbies (those who haven't been with Sky broadband, TV or talk in the last 12 months) a cracking deal via this specific Sky line rent & broadband* link. It's a year's contract and the key is half-price line rental and £10/mth unlimited up-to-38Mb speed fibre broadband. Plus, we've blagged £50 bill credit, which covers up to two months' line rental and broadband costs.
Get a code NOW: There are 29,000 codes. You can sign up once you've applied via this Sky link*. you'll also be sent an email with your code and unique link for sign up (one per home, not transferable). You have until 11.59pm Thu 29 Sep 2016.
How it works...
Half-price line rental. It's £17.40 a month, so you pay half that, £8.70/mth (so £104.40/yr). If Sky increases line rental (as most firms do regularly), you'll then pay half the new amount.
Unlimited fibre broadband £10/mth for 12 months. It's unlimited up-to-38Mb speed. After the 12-month contract ends, fibre broadband's £20/mth if you stay.
We've blagged you £50 bill credit. It's added to your account once your bill's active. The first £9.95 pays for the 'free' compulsory router delivery, the rest will be used up on line rental and calls until it's gone, so you won't shell out for around two months.
Card verification & refund. You pay £5 to verify your card when ordering but it's added to your bill credit.
- How cheap is this all-in? If you add up the line rental, broadband and router p&p, the total over the 12-month contract is £234.35 (at current prices, before calls). But, after the £50 bill credit, it's £184.35 for the year, equiv £15.36/mth before calls.
- What about calls? Calls costs are a bit more than BT to landlines but a bit less to mobiles (11.5p/min to landlines and mobiles, 16.9p connection-fee). Sky also has an unbilled calls credit limit – see below for info.
- Need a new line? If you don't have a line, or you're switching from cable, you'll need to pay £20 for a new line. However, if you have a BT line but pay another provider to use it, or you pay BT for your phone line, you may still have to pay the fee (see below).
- Direct debit only. You won't be able to get this deal otherwise.
Potential TCB £73.50 but not sure whether will pay out so another £6.12 off making it £9.24! As cheap as the BT deal with all cashback and cheque etc...
Will Sky help to do the switches from Talk talk for me. my Talk talk contract finished by end of October (paid upfront) and i want to apply this.

If you leave the TV package out then I think the the MSE deal will win as it will then be the same package except that you will be paying much less thru the MSE deal! It is the total cost over the 12 months you need to look at!
As for your international calls, you can add it later by calling sky (an additional service) once everything is in place.

In another dilemma hope someone can help me a little to make my mind up. I called sky to see what they can offer me as a new customer, they said they can give me sky fibre, sky tv, anytime calls with international calls (as I needed international calls) with line rental for £33.31 per month for 12 months, they will also pay for any charges talktalk charge for leaving them a little over a month early. Now not sure to go for this fibre and half price line rental deal and add the rest after joining or to go for the mentioned deal they offered me on phone tho not too fussed about tv package. If any one knows which option is better to go for or if anyone is in same situation , would appreciate any advice or thoughts. BT do not charge for equipment if you are with them for a min of 12 months. If you have not finished 12 months then (to avoid charges) you could say that you are leaving the country but happy for the contract to run to complete 12 months.
I have been with BT in the past and their installation process and processing of contract was just outrageous, so I know how you feel. I did wonder during that period as to how BT is still in business inspite of having such an abysmal customer service!

That's what I did yesterday, they were straight on to BT within a couple of hours cancelling it, so far so good. I went through TCB but i'm not expecting it. I've had no end of issues with Sky and cashback sites in the past. I'm still arguing with Quidco over £100 to take out Multiscreen which has been going on for ages. Sky reckoned I amended or changed the order, I've sent copies of my statement and everything.

I wouldn't have thought so but BT are so snide in their T's & C's, If I was you I'd go on live chat and ask if there are any termination charges if another provider was to put in a cancellation before the 1st October with it expected to go live middle of October. They are generally very helpful on live chat and then least this way you'll know. Let us know how you get on.

Ordered mine today and i'm down as going live on 11th October. As i'm leaving my BT contract a few weeks early they are hitting me with a £55 equipment charge... shocking company they are! I tried to cancel my BT sport as they advised i'd be charged full price if I didn't cancel it but when I tried to cancel it they said it would then end up cancelling the Sky order as at this stage Sky have started the swap over so they can't make any changes to the account! (how convenient). He then offered me fibre for £12 a month but £49 activation fee. I said out of principal I would never, ever have anything from BT again. Rant over!

Try this process:
- Go thru TCB/Quidco and open the sky link from there (say it opens in internet explorer)
- Then open the link from email (make sure this also opens in internet explorer - it does not matter if it is a different window/in a new tab)
- In the email link opened window (add the offer to the basket)
- Now go to the TCB/quidco link page and just click the basket. If the order is automatically there then close the other window (from the email link) and continue in this window as norm.
It should work as I have done this previously for VM (offer was from Uswitch) and got the cashback!

It's very strange then that their terms and conditions which you have to accept before you place your order (final step) states this...
"Tick the box below to confirm you have read and agree to Sky's Terms and Conditions and authorise implementation of your choices above. Clicking "Pay Now" will submit your order for the Sky products you've chosen, confirm your consent to switch provider(s) (if applicable) and result in you entering into a contract(s) with Sky if your order(s) is/are accepted. We'll email receipt of your order and next steps. Separate 12 month minimum terms apply to each of your TV, Talk and Broadband products, except Sky Fibre which has an 18 month minimum term and except when you take Sky TV with Sky Q. If you take Sky TV with Sky Q, separate 18 month minimum terms apply to your Sky Q subscription package, Talk, Broadband or Fibre products. If you end your contract(s) during the minimum term you will have to pay an early termination charge. We may charge this to any card or payment details we hold for you. Your cancellation rights will be sent to you with your full terms and conditions. You agree your Sky services may start during your cooling off period, you may still cancel any time within this period but you will need to pay for any services used and costs incurred up to that point. Prices may increase and services may vary, including during your minimum term. We will let you know about any material changes before we make them."
Just sayin....

As for your international calls, you can add it later by calling sky (an additional service) once everything is in place.
I have been with BT in the past and their installation process and processing of contract was just outrageous, so I know how you feel. I did wonder during that period as to how BT is still in business inspite of having such an abysmal customer service!
I am guessing no as I wont be out of contract when it goes live but I'm concerned about ordering before contract is finished.
thanks
Also updated speed to 150 MB so happy days
- Go thru TCB/Quidco and open the sky link from there (say it opens in internet explorer)
- Then open the link from email (make sure this also opens in internet explorer - it does not matter if it is a different window/in a new tab)
- In the email link opened window (add the offer to the basket)
- Now go to the TCB/quidco link page and just click the basket. If the order is automatically there then close the other window (from the email link) and continue in this window as norm.
It should work as I have done this previously for VM (offer was from Uswitch) and got the cashback!

I paid for BT engineer . when I switched to their fibre from normal PLUSNET broadband. But he hardly did anything worth £90!!
http://www.sky.com/shop/offers/broadbandswitchers/v1/
In the T & C's it states "From 1 July Sky Broadband and Talk orders placed via our contact centres only will be eligible for this offer.".
thats me now going to change from plusnet after 4 years.
The date when booking yesterday for activation was 3 October. Called and asked if they could delay but the only thing they could do is cancel the switch.
But hopefully customer service did not lie to me. .. I was nearly sure it's 18 months for fibre but girl on the phone said that sky doing 12 months contracts only.
Can I order in September for activation in November?
And as it's stated 50% off line rental,50% unlimited fibre optic broadband, free activation, 50 £ credit added to the account.

Any ideas on how/if I can get around this?
I couldn't save my old phone number either means I will get a new home number.
Not complaining about anything, just some info for many of the people who are on the same deal as me.
More here
It seems they offer Sky protect 'service' to cover this.
If this offer is taken up can you modify it after to include anytime land-line calls
TalkTalk and what have you's are the one's that tend to rather do 18 Month-24 Month Deals, etc?. :-)
My current sky deal (2015 MSE) is coming up for renewal, could I cancel and get my OH to sign up?
if you call sky by selectin cancellation they will offer you £10 all in for standard BB. that what i have been offered.
When I switched to BT I could select start date.
I am with virgin and planning to cancel.
That was like 3 years ago now.
That is the whole purpose of paying line rental in advance - you have paid up and it's gone!
You can leave due to the price rises but they will not refund the paid line rental. I know it seems like a scam!
It is not only Virgin Media, all ISPs are at it.
Hopefully sky will do this deal next year when my BT runs out lol and then i wouldn't have been wih sky for 12 months and just flip between the two! Be interesting if someone can get tcb to pay out as well! Let me know!
We've blagged you this that and the other? What,?
