Thought this was wrong on the search engines - as the full game is more expensive and with less discount!? But GOTY edition is down to $10 USD which is about £7.50.
Simply make sure you're set up for the Lowest/0% Tax location.
You can buy a $10 Gift Card, so no change/over spend required.

.
So not quite £5.75 - its £7.50 for the GOTY edition ($10 USD)
Apologies for the confusion... Its still strangely more expensive for the base game!

Do you have to change your location for this or is it just as easy as buying from the US store?

You can buy MS Gift Cards no problem and apply them to your account (via Xbox.com and not MS Store).
Then buy the game (by changing region in the bottom left of Xbox page) and buy as normal.
Does PayPal work through the US store for buying credit?
I have Revoult set up for Brazil which works fine, tried US with PayPal and an Alaskan address but got an email saying there is 4-6hr delay on processing?

Just signed in, linked PayPal and it worked. I used epicbrowser, and allowed all pop up from MS. I already had a fake US address set up, as have purchased credit before.

Thanks for the help. Bought this earlier. It was $10 + tax in the end. Bargain!

Remember to set your address (in the US) to a zero tax state and you can get rid of that pesky percentage on top!

HOT! Great Deal. Brought this last week but been too busy to stop by and say thanks.
As an addendum to the great guide by @Silhouette, the Developer version of Opera's new browser which is still in Beta, has got a built-in VPN for 5 different countries. Canada, US, Germany, Netherlands & Singapore. For those of you uncertain about getting a VPN or having to pay for one, this is a nice free alternative, from a major player in the browser market. Enable the vpn from the settings page, then you can select your vpn location from the toolbar.
I've used it successfully to buy games from Canada and the US, using a revolut card. Fingers crossed they add more countries when it gets a proper release! Opera Browser (choose dev version)

How recently, as the VPN method has been down for a time now.

I brought SOM on the 16th (Sept) from the US store and it worked fine. I also brought Minecraft from the Canadian store on the 14th and Lego Movie on the 13th. No problems with Revolut card, local address to each country and opera vpn. Tried without the VPN and it didn't work.
Would have liked to have brought the games from SA as it was cheaper again, but prepaidgamer don't let you buy credit using a revolut card and wasn't sure on the fees with my credit card. For low value (older) games there's not a huge saving if you have to factor in card fees. On the AAA releases the margins are bigger and the saving is worth the hassle.
Update: Looks like the net is drawing according to the good folks over at AV Forums, not sure how much longer the VPN / Revolut method will work. Still might be worth a punt...

Use that link too, on the US Site, you can buy any amount of credit rounded to a single dollar.
