Whilst you can get some cheaper diesel deals or lower engine powered petrol deals this is one of the better priced deals for a £20k + car which will at least be a bit of fun to drive!
wait, you're comparing a Fiesta (small hatchback) with a Leon (mid size hatchback)? The Leon is around the size of a Focus so that's where the comparison should be, and compare an Ibiza to a Fiesta.

yeh from what ive seen id say its the st line you are talking about,I know its horses for courses but id prefer the seat anyway,as an owner of two fords currently and that i replaced an audi and a vw with them,i can definatly say the build quality of the ford is knowhere near the same league, and never recieved such poor service from anybody as i have with my local Ford dealer!! they are absolute cowboys!!

I haven't seen the Fiesta ST at these prices for a while so please share if you have as I would genuinely be tempted to sign up? I have seen the 1 litre ST line edition which isn't in the same level as the full Fiesta ST or the above in my opinion. I was lucky to get the Peugeot 208 GTI deal last year so keeping an eye out for something fun to replace it with.

Technically, the fiesta is 80% of the car that the seat is, given its smaller.

That's the deal we've just gone for and mine comes in 2 weeks in Spirit Blue!
This deal is good though and would've been tempted if not gone for the fiesta!
Mine is an 8k deal though and the monthlies are lower despite the initial being 9months.
I'm really looking forward to it but the Leon Cupra would've been great!

This is definitely a good deal. However, it's been on this site for a while and they had a plethora of colours in stock. They are down to bog standard red which is not for everyone. Voted hot though to promote car lease deals..... Keep them coming!

Once you factor in excess mileage, it'll still be a decent deal. Not quite the best but not bad.

Can't believe they are making little cars like this out of titanium nowadays, I remember when titanium was an exotic material whose great strength to weight ratio was offset by how difficult it was to work with. Seems great value considering this is the titanium version, would expect it to cost a lot more.

I have this car was with the 2l TD engine, also 150ps. Have done 86k over 2.5 years and not had a single problem. Highly recommend this car overall, for me the only downside is the cabin noise (which isn't too bad but gets annoying with the amount of miles I do).

I've been in need of another car and have been searching around. Looking for keeping the car 2-3 years and need it quite soon. Looking for spending around £200-£250ish for an estate. But can't figure out whether a rental lease deal like this or PCP would fit better? Some of these rental deals (the good ones) look like they work out to a lot less then if you got the car under PCP? Can anyone offer any advice?
oldcrazy77
25 Sep 16#29
I'd be interested to know as well. I'm comingto the end of a salary sacrifice rental agreement andI know that HMRC are reviewing such schemes and potentially from April next year a deal that I have for my Golf GTD that is pretty reasonable now could be clobbered for tax and make it unattractive.
I voted hot for this deal, although the car itself isn't for me (perhaps a Nissan Xtrail or VW Tiguan). Does anyone have much experience of private leasing and is there much difference between the quality of service provided between companies like gateway2lease, Jet or Select? I've used Parker's to compare prices but some of the companies' websites are amateurish and some are pretty slick but perhaps I shouldn't judge a book by its cover?
The first thing I noticed is when getting a quote for an Infiniti Q30 was that it was pretty mucha 'bait and switch' experience and the deal that was plastered on their homepage was very different to the stock they could access......

I'll take any lease deal for a car allowing for 23k miles a year. Just need something with five seats.

25 Sep 16#31
still unsure on these deals, cannot get my head around them! I would buy a car around 18months/2 years old with low mileage (lost quite a bit of value + still has manufacturing warranty!) I would keep the car for around 3 or even 4 years then sell and buy another, ok you are not getting a new car, but my last two only had 6k on the clock...why would I spend 5k to rent? the wife's Leon Fr (a fiesta St doesn't come close, you need to compare with Focus) has been great, look on auto trader and eBay for 2014/5 models / prices, not voted as I do not understand !
ktm666 to Kimboball
25 Sep 16#34
You can't compare these deals to buying a used car, ever a 2 year old car.
If you buy a 2 year old car, you'll only have a years warranty for a start.
These deals are for people who buy new and change every 3 years or so. If you buy smart, you can actually lease a brand new car for cheaper than the depreciation, making financial sense if you're the type of person who regularly changes cars.

how much was the wifes ar the leon fr , with such a low milage as i would go for the same type of car where do you get them from
MaximusRo to Kimboball
25 Sep 16#44
How much did you pay for the 6k miles car?
Because you could invest that money in some bank deposits that could bring you 5%/year
How much did you sell the car for? Because if you lost the same amount of money you obviously didn't get a better deal.
On a lease, you get a few paid extras like road tax and breakdown cover.
Of course you would also have to do an mot on yours every year while you would not need one on a new car.
Put these costs and figures on paper or better yet, here, and we'll see what is the better deal.

how much money did you loose on the car your trading in after the 3 years??
karlie88 to Kimboball
25 Sep 16#47
How much did the last car that you bought and then traded-in depreciate by over those 3 years? £6k? £7k?
Add to that VED costs, breakdown cover costs, MOT costs, servicing costs, repair bill costs that you paid for/non-warranty work costs, tyres that needed replacing etc.
If it worked out cheaper than £2300 per year then fair enough, but I doubt it did.

Talking about reliability on new cars is pretty moot these days as all new mainstream cars are generally pretty good. However, despite the BS marketing and perception, German cars and especially VW are not really up there with the best.

A recent J D Power dependability survey put VW at 6th position and SEAT at 8th in the UK. Mercedes, BMW and Audi were near the bottom of the table. Curiously, Skoda, which uses a lot of the same parts as VW and SEAT, was number one. They must screw them together better.

Ordered my fiesta last week on a (3 (£392.98) + 23 (130.99)) with no admin fees which works sub £150 per month. That's for a 5 door fiesta ecoboost 1.0 ST 140 (and they also threw is sat nav as well). Some good deals to be had at the moment as new model out next year.
I found the deal on the whatcar website and went through Allen Ford. Weirdly the local garages can't match these types of deals as they're franchised and have to pay the full RRP to Ford. The leasing / ford direct companies buy in bulk from Ford and get c.30% discount which is how they can make these deals work.
Effectively they're passing on some of the saving to you which is why leasing is cheaper than buying at the moment for some models!
