Today I found Sainsbury's Eltham offering a Seagate Expansion 4TB USB 3.0 hard drive for £99 which is £30 off their normal recommended retail price.
They also had the 2TB version of the Seagate Expansion portable hard drive for £64.
Not sure if this is nationwide with Sainsbury's.

It is a bargain for portable HDD, it is a decent price for non portable HDD
If you search past HUKD deal there have been a few deal of 5tb for this price.
So if you play a waiting game you should be able to get 5TB at this price.

The thumbnail is a bit small so here's the bigger picture of the offer:

In this case It is a bargain
You should also put "portable" in the original title or in the description to avoid misunderstanding..

It does already say Portable in the original title and mentions that the 2TB version of the portable drive is for sale for £64 as well.
The DEAL TAGS also mention 2.5" portable hard drive as well.

Bear in mind these Seagate Drives are SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) so will have slower write speeds than similar (smaller capacity) non-SMR Drives.

Yeah, I don't like the sound of this SMR technology. Far too quantum physics sounding for my liking!

this drive actually uses perpendicular, no SMR

I actually just bought one of these , i removed the HDD to shove in a 2.5 rack caddy .
The height/depth of these drives is probally x3 of a normal laptop HDD , so if you are buying one to shove in a laptop make sure you have the space ! .

I'm assuming it's standard SATA and not a soldered on USB3?

Are these powered through USB or externally?
mattykan to Mikey242
19 Sep 16#16
It's powered by USB as it's a 2.5" based hard drive in a plastic caddy.

can I take this apart and put hard drive in my ps4 ??

The hard drive unit is thicker than normal 7mm and 9.5mm height based hard drives so it is unlikely to fit.
