Coming down in price now because of the Intel 600p NVME SSDs. This will drop further.

Giving heat because it's a good deal, but uncertain how many people would actually need a 2TB ssd. I snapped a 960GB Ultra II for £142.99 in a lightning deal months ago, so the price premium for twice that capacity still looks steep. However, if 2TB in a single ssd is what someone needs, then this is a hot deal.

It does load faster but not sure you would store your entire library on ssd. My Samsung 240g stores win 10 and usually 2 steam game I am currently playing. My 2tb we black is where the other 280 games are installed. Quite easy to move games across as I complete them and start new ones. Ssd is good for games with long loading screens and you will notice the seconds saved. I.e gta v, skyrim, witcher 3. On small games it doesn't really matter. Hope that insight gave you some insight.

If we replace the term 'needs' by 'desires' then fine. Nobody can actually 'need' something that didn't even exist a few months ago, but may desire it for one of a number of reasons.

Better to stick with a more affordable lower capacity SSD coupled with a standard disk until the price drops to realistic levels which it will no doubt do quite quickly.

There seems little point spending so much money for what is effectively boasting rights.

Of course for some reason I thougt EU imports were VAT exempt.

I currently use a 120gb for programs and windows and a 500gb ssd for all my games, I could easily use another 500gb for more games that I might play at some point but I just have to keep deleting games when I havent played them in a while to install new games.

People always argue that ssds do not help gaming, yes they dont help fps but loading times are massively decreased which is great hence why I run pure ssd.

But you aren't putting games and media on your SSD? It's easy to struggle to fill if you put nothing on it.

Games on SSD is the only way to play.

I've got around 1.1TB of PC Games. I don't think I could justify spending this much money to put my games on an SSD to save a few seconds on load times every once in a while.

I'd probably be better off with a couple of hard drives in RAID 0.

You don't have to store all the games you own on the SSD, just the ones you play.

And if you think its "just a few seconds of load time" you are gravely mistaken.

30 seconds simply on the game loading for wow...

And if you ever play a game the loads a lot, like NBA 2k16, you will save hours of load time.

It's your time though, if you are happy with minutes of your life wasted every time you start up a game, while you have tons of space available on your SSD, that's your choice.

Moving games back and forth is not something I want to do.
Despite the setup I have I don't game anywhere near enough to justify the cost.
Then again I could put a few big titles like Doom, Titanfall and Gears 4 when it comes out onto the C Drive. But again Origin is a pain in the ass to move game files. Steam is easier but still a hassle.

I would simply install games you want on the SSD and when you are 'done' but not sure, back them up to HDD just in case, and delete off SSD.

And certain games are hugely improved, like BF4 and other frostbite engine games. Civ games, and certain other heavy load games.

All that is going to happen is the £££ is going to plummet vs the Euro much further than it already has done, we will almost certainly pay VAT and match the standard EU rate and its extremely likely we will pay duty in the future.

Basically things are going to get more expensive and the country is going to get worse.
