A lot of routers have a USB input for a printer these days though so it's not difficult to turn it into a wifi-enabled printer.

Great deal considering you get a free 3-year warranty with Samsung if you register the printer in time.
It's just a shame you have to buy it from such a dog**** company in the first place.

Non-wireless, means can only print from a connected PC = useless for most people thesedays with phones/tablets/iPads.
Shame not the nw version, as I guess w=wireless

There are options. Ethernet direct to router. Or via power line. Or as a lot of people have a PC always on, just share it via that way.

I have this, you connect it to router using Ethernet cable and you can print from anything connected to the same network phones included, also has google cloud print.

We have 2 in our work offices and we hammer them, they are totally fine, now that I have seen this I might get one for home too.
Some users report that the printer works fine with their iOS and Android devices, but there is no mention of it on the official Samsung specification page or any of the product reviews that I looked at.
If it is not convenient to plug the printer into your router with a network cable you can do so via a pair of Homeplugs for ~ £20 delivered instead.

Don't rely on the USB ports on routers. I have tried several devices all were not compatible with the router I had.

I've got my Dell non-wifi printer plugged into a Powerline adapter with an RJ45 cable and this makes it just as good as wifi for me.

It's a 'network' printer - you plug it in to a network switch (or your broadband router LAN port) and it will be visible on your wireless network. If you really must, you could connect it to one of those powerline network adapters as long as your router is also connected to a powerline network adapter.

A nice price with the cashback - voted hot from me. I won't be buying one though as I need duplex. So for now I'll put up with my Canon mono-duplex-networked laser and an inkjet for my occasional colour needs.

Finally got fed up with my HP all-in-one not working - the scanner broke and now the ink has dried. Waste of space.
Came here looking for a deal and this looks great. Ordered, along with this wifi -> ethernet adapter TP_Link WA855RE
Apple says it'll work with my iPad, which is great.

So instead of my current HP mono Laser wireless printer being hidden under a bed upstairs, and that i can print to it via email anywhere in the world or by Google Airprint or IOS, I have to have it plugged into my router in the living room or have to buy ethernet extenders, let me think about that.....I'm out!

I used ones like these (possibly even these ones) and the print quality is pretty bad. It was OK for a while, but after a month or two there were lots of streaks and blobs of colour where they shouldn't be. I don't know if it's because of the printer or "cheap" toners, but beware.

Buying generics/refurbished toners is always a gamble, a gamble which has literally saved me > £1000 over the past few years I should add.
Once you have found a make that works for you, keep buying it and avoid buying random ones each time. Also avoid sellers not based in the UK or those without a Vat number displayed at the bottom of their Ebay page.

Even better - I bought an "ex-display" Dell C1760NW model from Ebuyer last week for £85. The cartridges had been opened and the printer used, but it was in perfect condition and they couldn't have used more than a few pages given the remaining ink levels. AND the replacement cartridges cost £20 a full set, as you say.
Brilliant printer for Junior to take with him when he starts Uni next week.
