And I was so looking forward to having something else that's never used cluttering up my worktops or cupboards, along with the sodastream, George Foreman grill, toasted sandwich maker, slow cooker, electric frying pan, etc etc etc.

But I suppose it does look nice.

I find it useful that people have commented on here so that I have been able to find out that I am not the only one in this situation. I have filed a claim with PayPal and will wait for that to be sorted out and no doubt I will get my money back at some stage.
I cope very well with normal everyday life thank you Erubadhron, but have found it useful to have the non-refunds posted up on here. Not a lot of money I know, but still my money and I am not prepared to give it away.

Why the hell are you people still commenting on this thread?!?
Call your bank, call PayPal, demand your money back.

It isn't difficult, and noone here either cares or can help.
Christ, I hate to have to be so rude, but how do you cope in normal day to day life?

I paid by credit card and was refunded within the week. Not saying to brag, just to show that some of us were refunded fine. I agree it is bad if you weren't automatically refunded within the week and it was worth raising a PayPal claim in that case to force the issue, but people shouldn't try to speak for everyone by putting statements like 'no one has been refunded' for instance. As has been said, a lot of people ordered and are not posting, likely because they happily got their refund without any chasing.

Also, +10 points for the comment about me working for IWOOT. Anyone calling out the stupidity of your comments or actions is obviously inherently biased and incorrect.

Sorry but do you not realise how stupid it sounds to say that noone has had a refund, immediately after saying that you've had a refund.

There are less than 5 of you still whining about this glitch, how many hundreds of orders do you think were placed?

I get your trying to calm a situation, but as a programmer, what has happened should be impossible. All sales will be in a database, if they wanted to cancel *all* orders (ie not let the first 100 through - which we would have heard about on here), it would be a simple look up into that database followed by an execution on the results. You would not get 'stragglers' as you are describing.

I actually suspect there are a lot more users who have not had a refund but have simply stopped looking at this thread, or just given up given its a small amount of money. I mean as it stands I'm only doing this in an attempt to get paypal to revoke iwoots sales account so as to minimise any effects of a future incident
Erubadhron
27 Sep 16 #396
5 people whining, out of the hundreds of people who placed an order, is an incredibly small margin of error.
You also need to take into account that these people would have had a solution a lot faster if they'd spent as much time chasing up a refund with their bank/PayPal, as they did ranting into this void.

27 Sep 16 #395
Look at the comments; who was refunded automatically? I may be wrong, but nobody who paid via PayPal was refunded within 3-5days. Unless you work for IWOOT and you know better?
Erubadhron
27 Sep 16 #394
Your refund will be dealt with by PayPal, so you're causing yourself more frustration by contacting IWOOT.
Erubadhron
27 Sep 16 #393
No they won't, all "buyers" were refunded automatically. If anyone hasn't had their automatic refund, then they should contact IWOOT.

Order items:
11274833,

Issue:
Where's my order?
Why has my order been cancelled?
Customer info:
I just been emailed that order has been canceled.

In terms of trading law you said - "Please note, for Credit Card and PayPal orders, that payment is not taken until point of dispatch."

On e-mail received you said "If a charge has been taken for the order, then a refund will be requested upon cancellation and the money returned to your account within 3-5 working days."

My payment has been taken via PayPal - Transaction ID
XXXXXXXXX.

You have charged me already! - My money are in your hands

I hope we can avoid reporting it to Tradin Standards authority.

Week after no refund.....
PayPal dispute opened.

P.S. I`m reporting to Trading Standards as unfair and misleading statements.

Hold your horses there soft lad. I bought two, one for myself and one for my Dad. £9 is no loss to me but for a company to take money from a customer for over a week without supplying the items they've paid for is unacceptable. Combined with this happening to more than a few people, replying to our queries with useless automated replies, I think we've got a right to be hacked off - it's the principle. Wind your neck in.
qwerta369
19 Sep 16 #369
Well, first off, not everyone has received a refund as yet and they certainly should have by now. Secondly, people may have bought multiples as gifts so it might not just be £6 that they are without. In any case, it's the principle. why are some people being refunded straightaway while others still haven't been refunded at all?
Erubadhron
19 Sep 16 #368
Everyone has been refunded, or will receive their refund soon.
If anyone awaiting a refund can't afford to be without £6 for a few days, perhaps they shouldn't have been trying to waste it on a blender.

No refund till now
Hukd sent this deal through whatsapp and there was no thread about the deal on the site

????

I think the misprice was intended to gain some money for a period of time and gather customers information.

I have paid via paypal and now opened a dispute against iwoot to claim my money back.

I would advise everyone paid using paypal to open a dispute as this is not good for their paypal credit.

Thanks for replying.
I know I'm clutching at straws regarding them fulfilling my orders, but I just want to see what excuse they come up with.
Please explain how their t&c's are watertight. As 9.1 is pretty clear to me, in my favour. However 9.2 is more suspect as it doesn't make it clear if it refers to 9.1 or 9.1 and 9.2.
Hope that makes sense.

13 Sep 16 #341
I placed two orders and both were cancelled over the weekend/Monday. Yet today they took payment for both orders from my credit card.(was pending transactions before today).
I called my credit card company and asked to initiate a charge back and was told that I would need to contact Iwoot and ask for refund or I could wait for 15 days then contact credit card company and they would then act as arbitrators between myself and Iwoot. He said it could take up to 8 weeks to resolve.
I have messaged Iwoot and referred them to section 9.1 of their t&c's which is contract formed when payment taken. I want my orders fulfilled.:stuck_out_tongue:
Will keep you posted on updates.
Erubadhron
13 Sep 16 #340
Don't request a refund.
Contact your bank and have a chargeback initiated.
This looks very, very bad on IWOOT, especially if everyone does the same
nige182
13 Sep 16 #339
It could be interpreted that way, but it is a difficult thing to argue, after all whichever condition of (i) or (ii) occurs last would trigger the conclusion reading it the way I did, so reading the way I did still makes sense. To be able to argue "whichever is the later" only applies to within term (ii), you would have to be able to prove that it is reasonable to read it as such and therefore the ambiguity pushes it in your favour. The only case I can think of where it applying to part (ii) only makes sense is a mobile contract, provision of the phone and commencement of the mobile service contract being the two parts to that. Either way, they would let you take them to court for it as you would pay out far more for a good lawyer and likely still lose.
toto123
13 Sep 16 #338
No refund till now! Do i need to request the refund?
loofer
13 Sep 16 #337
Could be open to interpretation. The 'later' could refer to just point (ii), i.e the later of the goods being dispatched or services commencing. If both condition (i) and (ii) needed to be fulfilled then they wouldn't have included 'or' between them, it would have been 'and'.
nige182
13 Sep 16 #336
I have put in bold why they do not have to honour the contract. "Whichever is the later" means that unless both conditions (i) and (ii) have been met, the contract does not need to be honoured.
loofer
13 Sep 16 #335
Although they do have this get out clause and now I feel a little silly for sending them a snotty email asking them to honour the contract
loofer
13 Sep 16 #334
They've charged my card.
This is in their T&Cs, do you think I can demand they honour the contract as they have met condition (i)
AdamBrown0190
13 Sep 16 #333
I think they have been dumb enough as my CC was charged despite clearly stating CC will not be charged until orders have been dispatched! Received the cancellation email yesterday, order cancelled on site today and the charge showed on my account today as well.

Loads of comments on here about how rubbish it is that WE the customers have to 'request' a refund......

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not how I'm reading it at all. It says a refund WILL BE requested and the money will come back in 3-5 days.

This has the feel of a deliberate misprice but you never know. We will not soon forget, so there's only so often that they can try this trick before people start holding them to account for it.

I've had my money taken fully out of my debit account, and my cancellation email, and order cancelled status online, and I'm pretty sure I don't now need to do anything except keep my eye on my account for my refund coming back.

Well im gonna wait till the end of tomorrow before I cancel. I did have a cancellation email but my order is still pending. I paid by PayPal and it has already been debited on my PP account and money has already been charged to my card linked for PayPal payments.
Very cheeky way for them to get a quick bit of cashflow and for it to be up to the customer to request a refund. Oh well you have to be in it to win it and for every 100 that is a bust one slips through.

That's what I'm saying...if you've paid by credit card and they don't dispatch, request a charge back directly from your CC company. The more black marks this runs up for IWOOT the better and then they may think twice about pulling this stunt again.....

My single order which I placed around 8.30am is still showing as awaiting dispatch and I can confirm the funds have fully left my account.

Am holding out (don't know why) but I think that for example mine is just stuck in the system, they haven't cancelled not going to dispatch and am sure many other customers are experiencing this.

They will make a packet on this is customer don't cancel them self instead of hoping they will get there item.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel this order. This is due to a pricing error on our website. We pride ourselves on having accurate information on our website, but on this occasion there has been an error which has subsequently been amended.

We understand this could be very frustrating for you and apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused.

If a charge has been taken for the order, then a refund will be requested upon cancellation and the money returned to your account within 3-5 working days.

I hope the money does come back in the promised time and I don't have to chase them for it

I seem to remember a few years back when a certain very big website who dont pay tax, made a lot of Marketplace sellers honour a crazy amount of mispriced goods some even closed down because of it.
And yet I constantly see them not honour their misprices.Tesco seem to be the only company with any thought of ever honouring a misprice.

If the item is still of interest to you, it can now be ordered at the correct price on site.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

11 Sep 16 #207
Realistically this will not go through. The same way the system finds it irregular that there is 20 orders from one person, it will also find it irregular that such a massive amount of people purchased this product in such a short space of time as there are people behind the systems.

The fact that the price went back up to £199 or so, means that the problem has been highlighted and someone changed the price to what it should be.

I do feel that on Monday the customer service team will have the task to e-mail everyone and cancel the orders.

I have purchased this item as it's worth a try but I know it won't go through as I have had a similar scenario to this (completely different product) that at the end was cancelled.

Just sit tight and await your cancellation e-mails everyone;)

Great spot. I think sometimes these pricing systems don't generally recognise an incorrect price until there is excessive or unusual purchase transaction going through. Thus, its not the norm for any one individual to buy 20 of these devices in one go, which then triggers alarm bells. Potentially ruining it for everyone else. Just my view though

Why do people bother posting that their payment has gone through in threads like these? That is completely irrelevant, and for most things you buy online, the payment will be taken immediately anyway.

I am not saying you won't get this, i genuinely hope you all do - i just think people need to understand that the fact payment has been taken means absolutely nothing and i wouldn't use that as an indicator to get ones hopes up.

How's that possible your calculation is wrong it's 3X £4.50 is £13.50 - 15% off is £2.03 comes down to £11.47 then add the delivery £1.99 total is £13.46. How did you get it down to £11.88 please elaborate.
