Our basic Tesco manual microwave went bust yesterday so was searching for microwave deals. Searched for microwaves on the Asda George site and in the search listings it was showing Russell Hobbs RHM1709 starting from £24.98 but when clicked on the link it showed only cream color for £42. Obviously the ones priced £24.98 which were Black and Silver had gone OOS online.
Having seen in store the same microwaves priced for £37, I went and asked for a price check on the black model marked with a sticker of £37 in sale. And voila, it scanned at £24.98!!!
Bought 2, one for us and one for the in-laws. No blacks ones left but there were still about 6 silver ones in ASDA Feltham. Hope this helps someone. Note that it is a very basic 17L 700W microwave but it was just what we were looking for.

I purchased a model very close to this one, it was pretty terrible, cooked food unevenly and the areas which did heat up were obliterated.
False economy I would recommend spending a little more ( ~£50+ ) to get yourself a decent one.

The retail price for this microwave was more like ~£50 but I guess this is a stock clearance for a discontinued model hence the price. Having used it for basic stuff, it works pretty well (no uneven cooking / heating so far). But yes, agree that if you use your microwave very heavily (i.e. not just for heating or light steaming or cooking rice daily), then you might want to go digital and spend more money for extra features / space / quality.

I've got a 700w microwave I use every day. It's fine but NOTHING has instructions for 700 watts that I've seen. I use a time converter app on my phone.

Ten is sensible, if you'd bought 12 you would be able to cook three packs of Chicago Town Pizzas at the same time.
This way you can save two for later.

How big are Chicago Town Pizzas for you because I have Four Cheese pizza in the oven and they are tiny, I don't like saving for later so I'm eating it right now. I'll keep you one slice of you want
