I buy digital only and the gold edition is a whopping £50. I'm tempted to nip into Tesco tomorrow and pick up the game for £8, buy 5500 crowns and that would bring it to a grand total of £19. I owned this on my xbone before getting rid off it and kinda miss dipping in and out of it. Not sure how all this works, though. The online description is:
Not sure if existing would constitute as just owning the base game. My PSN ESO account would be new, so not entirely sure if i would qualify. All i know, I'm not paying £50 for the gold version on PSN. I wouldn't mind getting a disc copy if I only had to pay £8 and buy the crowns needed for the dlc and enough for a mount.

I haven't tested it but the mega pack has no expiry so no reason it shouldn't. Bear in mind that the 4 packs would be 9500 crowns without the Mega deal - the deal is for 5500 crowns and 5500 crowns is usually £23.99 - down to £11.99 right now on PSN - making a saving of £35.99 for those who are just buying DLC who already own the base game if my mental arithmetic is correct. I guess if you were to buy the Gold edition over the PSN sale prices you would pay about £10-15 more so unless you're desperate for a mount the digital is the cheapest way to go.

I know there's a lot of hate for ESO but with the PS4 crowns discount and the Guilds and Glory mega pack, you can get the first 4 DLC packs for just £11.99! Bargain in my book.

I wondered if that was the case, but all of the individual DLCs are showing as full price (or the current reduced price) and the season pass doesn't indicate that I already own it.

EDIT: It has now updated. Looks like it took a little bit of time for the purchase to register. The season pass now says "you have purchased this item", and all the others are free. Lovely.

I just called Sony because the new 4.0 update has removed the option to download DLC from the Library screen on the PS4. They said they're aware of the issue and should be fixed within 3-4 days.

Unfortunately, you have to go into the PSStore, search for the game and go into the DLC manually if you don't have the Auto-Update/ Download feature enabled on.

Tedious I know! Also the Batman Season Pass just makes all of the Batman DLC FREE, and doesn't allow for a large singular download of the season pass, so I'm afraid you'll have to manually download each individual piece (I've just done exactly the same and takes a while!)

Hopefully Sony will fix this so its not such a laborious step. Hope this helps you out :smiley:

I'll take that Arkham Knight season pass, but those Star Wars Battlefront discounts are awful. Although I suppose the problem is not so much the level of discount (40% on the season pass isn't bad), it's the outrageous original price.

Was gonna purchase Elder Scrolls gold, but I think it now actually works out cheaper getting the base game at £16 and 11k crowns for the dlc. Anyone able to post how much the dlc is on the PS4 crown store? Iirc they were around 2000 on the xbox way back yonder.

Elder scrolls online crowns are odd with pricing. Most packages are a small 15% discount while the large 5500 crowns (£24) is over half price off. I bought it last time as it was only a quid more than the package below it, but almost double the amount of crowns.
