A price comparison site still has the steel black and V2 (from GAME) at £49.99. So that's what they've fallen from. Urban camo was £44.99.

Pity they didn't improve the battery life with the V2...

£34.99 a bargain for a controller! It is in the context of the RRP but the reality is Sony & MS massively overcharge for these, and why not they are a business.

I had heard similar. Sony fixed a bunch of non-problems while ignoring the shredable thumb sticks, dodgy triggers, and generally poor build quality.

I wouldn't get worked up about V1 vs V2 personally.

ive bough tone of the camo ones from here back in april. it didn't charge up and I couldn't get a refund!! beware. however I took it to argos and simply exchanged it when they were too busy to look!!

V2 is for VR the box states which i find strange maybe not compatible with old controller? I don't know i just got it free at Argos :smiley:

I've got one, nice but not too different... slightly different color scheme (contrasting), might be in my head but the battery efficiency seems to be slightly improved...

Apparently mine has been packed but I'm on the phone to cancel it or have it replaced with V1 because of what I've read on here

Yes, they emailed me to say it's being packed.
Just got off the phone to them and while it hasn't been shipped they're saying it's beyond the point of cancellation. So I'm just going to have to reject the delivery and order again when I get the chance

I find the comment of 'poor build quality' a bit premature as this hasn't long been on the market. No offence but I'm sure it would be all over the internet if that was true.

Their T&C's clearly stated no refund for paypal payments.

I bought this controller 2 weeks ago from ShopTo for £44.86 as I needed a new controller anyway as my Day 1 Dualshock 4 needed replacement after 3 years of use, not sure as to why its not yet available in Game.

As for the controller itself it feels better as in a better feel because of the matte finish than the original controller plus analog sticks feel better as well with a bit more resistance. The buttons and the analogs themselves have a greyish look about them and the light through the touch pad is a nice touch.

The new USB communication feature is very nice and has a more responsive feel to it especially with fighting games, I play MKX and have seen a bit of difference in terms of button response. The battery life is to me personally better than the original maybe because its a brand new controller and rechargeable batteries seem to hold more juice when new anyway. Hope this helps :smiley:

BTW I bought this to play FIFA 17 but my pre order from Smyths hasn't come as of yet, something to do with a royal mail delay, even though they did give me a £5 off voucher for a future order after contacting customer service, I highly recommend staying away from Smyths for any pre orders.

I think GAME have them because mine has already been dispatched, I think the pre-order thing might have been due to lack of update for their website.

No refund when taking it in-store, but if you post it or reject the delivery as I intend to do, then it's a full refund.

Most people that would buy this are young and are on low income. They should be saving their money instead, to allow them to invest and build a future.

How long were people finding it saying 'unshipped'? I've done a click and collect like over 3 hours ago hoping I could nip down the local store after work.

I ordered it yesterday after lunch and it was still unshipped/unpackaged etc. at lunch time today so I cancelled it and got it from amazon instead, hopefully no money was taken as it shouldn't have been.

I've just rejected mine from the postman and hopefully should get a refund. For those wondering, I managed to get a good Argos deal with an extra controller

Other than the top half of the box is white instead of blue I'm not sure. I think if you have the controller on you can see the light bar at the top of the touch pad which seems like the easiest way to tell.

On webchat Game said my order wasn't dispatched because the system thought the controller hadn't been released! Hopefully it's sorted now - raised a note to dispatch!

Mine was delivered yesterday. The back of the box shows the features including the new front facing light bar.
