Exactly the same, bought it a few weeks ago from TGC for under a tenner and it's in the pile of games to play still! That gut wrenching feeling then when it's free....

But worth having a physical copy in case PS+ isn't your thing or expires in the future

Thanks for the heads up about next months games OP!!

I'm so glad Transformers is in there. I had a lot of fun playing that game. I traded it some time ago, but now I'm ready to do it again! Woop! Woop! Thats why you should only buy anything that has zero chance of going free. Its why I have no regret only buying big AAA games like GTA, COD and fifa from now on. That way I dont get burnt. You can save alot of money using that method when you realise PS plus actually rewards you for not buying games.

Darn it. I've got to wait until November before the new playstation arrives. Is there a way I can buy a ps+ sub and download these ready - through the web site - would that work?
tsimehC
28 Sep 16 4 #91
Yes you can just redeem the PS+ sub to an existing or new PSN account and "purchase" them off the web store ready for November. Since you don't have a PS4 yet, you can maximise your sub by activating your PS+ a day before these games make way for November's games (unless you want September's games too).

Resi HD - does it have PROPER analogue controls, i.e. pushing in the actual direction you want to travel? I had the GameCube remake with the halfway analogue controls and couldn't get away with it - tank controls belong in the 90s.
imdave
29 Sep 16 #155
Hi, quick question (below**) I haven't really been keeping up with PS+ for a while as while I have a Vita and old PS3, I'd been playing neither enough to warrant the subscription.

But I ordered a PS4 last night in the multi store Sony old model purge, so I was looking at my "download list" via my Vita. I wasn't seeing any of my past PS+ downloads (don't currently have active sub).

**Did they change it so it doesn't save them, or will all the past downloaded titles (inc PS4 titles I added to downloads via browser) reappear when I renew the subscription?

29 Sep 16 #157
I and many people prefer tank controls in certain games i.e pre rendered backgrounds and survival horror, that was hy I hated REmake when it came out on Gamecube as it changed the gameplay too much, it also felt easier just pressing foward and going forward not each time there was a camera change having to for example press right instead of forward plus it felt more suspensful walking backwards and shooting enemies.

morocco1
29 Sep 16 #160
I played (the far superior IMO) Eternal Darkness before REmake which ruined it for me. I understand that there is a preference for digital control by purists but an option to switch to full analogue for those who never played the PS1 original would be nice.

They kind of are, aside from the demo disk you get Playroom VR free

2 Oct 16 #169
Surely for a fiver it's worth actually owning the game. PS Plus games are basically just rentals. I know for a lot of people who never plan on ending their subscription it's as good as owning them. But the fact remains that you don't.
darkspace100
2 Oct 16 #170
Being rentals isn't a bad thing at all. Its less plastic trash laying around and most games have little to no replay value.
AndrewRoss
2 Oct 16 #171
That's not true. I had infamous second son disc, played about half way through. Bought it in the sale on psn last month for £3 or whatever. Had to start again. Both saves are on my system. I can only access one with the digital version and the other with the disc. So unless you've tried a particular game and know that one works I wouldn't want to comment.
donbarney
2 Oct 16 #172
last months was good too
andyp350
2 Oct 16 #173
It's not a bad thing at all, hope my post didn't imply it was. I just meant that at such a low price I wouldn't worry too much about it coming up on Plus as the game would actually be owned and it could also be re-sold if it was a physical copy.
I hate having endless boxes and physical discs so much prefer digital, I'm already 100% digital with my music and film/tv collection. Unfortunately digital games prices are just not competitive enough against what the disc copies can be bought for shortly after release.
PS Plus is a great way to expand your games library at a low cost. I actually stopped paying for it as I never game online and I found I didn't have the time to get through all the 'free' games so I felt I was wasting my money.

I'm new to PSPlus guys. The stuff that is on there now for September, should I download asap before October starts so as to "bag" the games for life. Is this how it works? If you don't download the free games that month, they are lost so to speak?
samela
3 Oct 16 #178
That is correct mate yes, add em to your library before tomorrow!
rob5110
3 Oct 16 #179
Not quite correct - you don't need to actually download them. Just go through the checkout process (as though you are buying them).
This adds them to your account. You don't need to actually download them onto your system until you want to play them.
As Samela mentioned, do it today. If you don't do it today, you'll lose the option of getting Septembers games, they are only available to 'get' on PS Plus for the month they are active. You can't get past months you missed. You can do it from the website on your phone if it's blocked from work\school, as you're just going through the checkout process, not downloading them.

Ah thanks for explaining. Much appreciated. I added all of the September ones to my Library so...I think I'm good. Thanks guys.

I paid £12 with the same fear. The game is worth £12 all day long, first game I sat and played for a couple of days until I finished it and left me rather satisfied afterwards (Rachet and Clank is another pretty solid game of the genre, but this is definitely the better title.

If you can get Knack for £5, BARGAIN, this game didn't get enough coverage, there really should be a bloody sequel by now.
If not CEX has it for £8 still a bargain

4th October and PSPlus still shows September games for me. What time do they tend to become available?

The store usually updates in the afternoon UK time - I suggest that you try again after 4pm.

I am also new to this. I took the 14 day free trial of PS+, which has let me pick up last month's games, and later I will pick up these games. If I then let my PS+ subscription lapse, would these games become available if I resubscribe down the line? If so, is there any time limit, or will they be perpetually on my account and available when the sub is active?
Klansimpson
4 Oct 16 #187
yes the games remain on your account, when you reactivate plus all the games reactivate that you have previously gained from PSN ➕, it's a good way to lure you back. frankly for the 30-40 quid a year is a bargain, you can take advantage of the Sainsbury's online new customer discount code like I did and get 2 years sub or a controller and a sub or something with a nice discount.

Oh and no time limit etc so no worries either way

That's the one I went for. Email code went into my spam though, worth checking in case anyone ends up sitting around waiting for their code to come through...

Enjoy resident evil. Its one of the best games of all time and up their with classics like resident evil 4. Just don't expect an action game. This game is pure survival horror and damn is it good. Its also still a looker espesially with the new lighting system.

like you I am trying to go all digital, I find its best to buy from the US and Canadian stores when they are on sale as the prices are the same if not better than physical prices.

Ah don't worry, I know it well, had the original on PSX. I hate the newer action orientated ones to be honest. Will be good to play through it again

New to PS4 was wondering does this work like games with gold where you get 1 game for 15 days then the other for 15? Or can you download both games up until the end of the month? thanks
Illusionary
5 Oct 16 1 #199
No. All six games are available for redemption for the full month (until the first Tuesday of the following month).

Warning for anyone who suffers with depression or mental illness don't play Actual Sunlight as it's the last thing you need. To be honest I'm not sure why anyone would want to play it anyway but each to their own.

Krooner
7 Oct 16 1 #205
Nonsense! My cousin is Shigeru Miyamoto's personal calamari chef, and he says NX is coming out in a soon to be established 13th month called Nintenber. You'd already know this if you knew ANYTHING about video games.

Yeah...it doesn't work like that bud. Once you month is up the content will be locked!

Indeed, but it'll be available again upon resubscribing, which is probably what Neostar has planned.
