I thought the same as you about paying a little bit more with ocado but being the nerd I am I did a ocado shop and printed out the shopping list and then went to tesco and did the actual shop. The price difference was minimal. Ocado is not waitrose. It just stocks waitrose produce

As Musicrab said you give your bags back and they refund you 5p a bag off your current order. Drivers always ask for them so no excuse!

One thing i dont like about ocado is their compulsory carrier bag charge when things are delivered to my door which means i dont need bags at all... Not just the charge, they always put ur items in one or two bags while charging u price of 10 bags or sth depending on how many items u have, altho ur items are just small ones that wont even fill up one damn bag.. Not about little money for bags but this is not right,u dont charge ur customers for what they are not receiving!! Ordered a few times, happened every single time. Thumbs down

Ocado (and Morrisons software made by Ocado) has got the iPhone app so well designed its worth shopping there just for that. 10/10 I guess android same.
First rate.
Tip
Not all Waitrose items are stocked by Ocado but if you are lucky enough to have a Waitrose pop in every so often to get ideas. We have a fantastic store in Chester lovely staff and we bought a few things but I used my iPhone and did some quick "add to basket" to the next Ocado order.
While you are there get the £4.00 large (dont get the small ones) Waitrose green coloured 'bag for life' they are honestly the best, expensive at £4.00 but lovely.
Also quite nice popping into Lidl with your Waitrose bag! no I jest.
Seriously with online food shopping you need ideas otherwise you tend to get get bored with the same food every week.
(unless you check every previous order going back 5 years via e-mails, been there done that!)
cheers

We've been using Ocado for several years now and can't fault their service. Had a few items missing or damaged in the past but they've always put things right without any hassle. Drivers are very helpful and if you wish carry the shopping into the kitchen for you. They always have deals on so you just need to keep a eye out for them. As for prices they're pretty much the same as Tesco (as they price match with our local store). There is more expensive items on offer but the is always cheaper alternatives.
Not potential.. If u do it correctly u will get the £6.60 cashback. Dont use mobile site, dont use paypal, use bank card to pay

Quite easy to save £20 by shopping elsewhere. eg. 24 Budweiser is £17 there but only £12 in Asda. Buy my usual 6 packs and that's a saving of £30

That's a clever bit of marketing. There are many catches. Bottom line is you'll pay, very roughly, about a third more with Ocado/Waitrose (depending on what your normal shop includes).
Don't get me wrong - their delivery experience is first class - very rarely are items missing and there's no quibbles if you want an item refunded e.g. because an egg's broken.
PS. Is the Ocado+Morrison's service live yet? Any good? (Guess its the same good service but cheaper shopping?)

No, you will probably get away with the £20 off but they apply the delivery pass manually. If they see you are an existing customer (same name at same address) they will not apply the delivery pass.
