It seems my last post was deleted as it mentioned a banned Merchant who I use for lease cars. also another comment was removed about honest john but not the subsequent quotes to my post. Anyway I must have annoyed a mod somewhere?
So in answer to your question "Loofer" "mcaf123" and sorry to "Lockwoodisbored" for another cool story.
I got a good deal with xxxx for a titanium focus 2014 6+23m £169/m when the lease was coming up for expiry they started emailing me about deals to renew and this Pulsar was their biggest drive saying how top spec it was. I looked around for reviews but could't find any as it was a newly released car, I thought it was odd that a newly released car was being pushed so hard by the lease company when you look at Evokes and Discovery Sports they charge massive premiums (although the Evoke is now getting cheaper). The firm couldn't find anything close to what I already had so I requsted a quote to extend the lease for another year. They came back with a £6/m increase so £174/m. I have to factor in another service (£229 2nd, the first was £99) and maybe two front tyres. It's cheap for this deal but look at what you get!

I had the 1.5diesel in the Qashqai+2 for a week as a courtesy car and IMO it wasn't bad at all and felt much quieter than my Countryman SD which sounds like a tractor at best. I dread to think what a 15 y/o **** sounds like

yes it does have the same engine, the one that sounds like a 15 year old Citroen van

Has this deal changed? I'm getting £121.70 a month (£2799.10 for 23 months) and £1095.30 (9 month upfront) for a total of £3894.40 without an admin fee

lots of better offers out there than this and the 1.5 diesel Nissan engine isn't very nice

Really? The engine that gets praise in every car it's fitted to isn't very good? Obviously all the car mags must be wrong then. It's zero road tax, great on fuel and quiet.

No point posting here saying it's a boring car as that is obvious. It's just as boring as a Golf or AUDI A3 and plenty of people drive them!
I have a Golf GTD lease car outside and it's really good. Boring, but good. For most folk this car would do the same job and for half the price of my Golf. That makes it a good deal in my book.
Anyway someone asked about keeping the car after 2 years. This is what I have done. It depends on the lease company, but my experience is that if you are with one of the big companies (I'm with Network/leaseplan) they really don't care about getting the car back as long as you keep paying for it. This works out better for me as it was 1600 up front and 239 a month so it saves me finding another lump sum payment to order another car. Also the lease company will keep servicing it and putting tyres on which works out great. If you check the small print on your contract it will say if you are allowed to not hand it back and keep it longer.

I heard about a bloke who took his BMW in for a service. Accepted their kind offer of a lift back into town and their offer of coffee and rolls. All added to the bill!

My lease company were trying to push one of these onto me last year. I turned it down and added another year on my Focus. It just didn't appeal to me!

is that normal for them to offer you an extension to the lease towards the end?
I assume they lower the monthly payments?

The biggest problem with car leasing is the dishonesty of the brokers most deals are lures and don't exist!
