Not sure if this has been posted before but did a search and couldn't find it but apologies if it has.
Firstly create an account on the Nespresso site. Then phone Nespresso customer services as you can't add the free glasses online and are only for new customers.
Order the Nespresso Pixie machine, which is on offer for £69. There is a choice of 4 - Electric Red or Electric Titanium (both Krups) or Electric Aluminium or Carmine (both Magimix).
Then ask for the 150 capsule selection pack, I got the milk one which has 14 varieties of coffee. This automatically gives you the Aeroccino worth £50. Then ask them about the free gift as you are a new customer and I was given the choice of either 2 x Espresso cups and saucers or 2 x Capuccino cups and saucers (these should be £14).
The total for this was £115.10, bargain!! There might be a couple of quid difference depending on which capsules you select but my price was for the milk selection.
My machine came the next day and was really suprised at the quality of packaging the capsules and cups came in. I know these machines are available cheaper but for the £15-£20 extra you're getting the capsules and cups. I think the offer is on while 31st October.

I have to say that after having a Gaggia Classic and burr grinder, a mokka pot, a Delonghi bean to cup, an Illy pod machine and mostly lately a Lavazza pod machine + milk frother, I find the Lavazza makes a delicious cappuccino with least mess and consistently beautifully frothered milk for less than 20p a coffee shot (original Lavazza pods when on offer). It all depends on what you like and how much you want to spend. I think I've found a happy medium (for now).

People don't necessarily buy them as a replacement for a good espresso. Personally, I bought one to replace instant coffee. Takes as long as boiling the kettle to get a better coffee, which does come from a pre-ground freeze dried bean rather than granulated instant muck like a dolce gusto. I still buy a good espresso from an artisan roast cafe.

They're definitely not for me, but I can definitely see why someone would want to just stick a pod in a machine and have a coffee ready 30 seconds later rather than grind coffeee, tamp it, make an espresso, throw away the grinds, wash up everything and flush the machine.
It's worth the effort for me but it's definitely not quick.

What machine would you recommend that would be cheaper than this?
I own a dolce gusto, a delonghi espresso, and a breville coffee express, bought my girlfriend a nespresso for xmas the other year and can honestly say the nespresso trumps the lot. Even many baristas hold these in high regard. Bargain. Shame I can't justify another coffee machine haha.

If you're a new customer you can get the free cups when you first register on the site, not sure how many capsules you need though as the 150 where specific to get the free Aeroccino with the machine.

Heat added Great machine I had one bought me as I love my decent coffee. Top tip lidle do a really good pod the longo for just over a quid for ten.

There are loads. For example this de'longhi- but it's not just about the machine, it's about the actual coffee - a bag of Segafredo Intermezzo (similar to Lavazza) costs £1.29 from my local B&M and I get around 30 espressos per bag - so around 4p per coffee as opposed to 30p per coffee for a Nespresso. It's a huge difference over time, and well worth the extra "hassle" imho (by hassle I mean the 3 mins it takes to make a cuppa and clean the nozzle of the machine!).
A lot of people get taken in by the cheap cost and convenience of a pod machine, but they are way more expensive over time (and like I said, the coffee is inferior to ground).

It is and its a lot more environmentally friendly. Dont see what the mess is, try being good and recycling the non nespresso capsules and you will see what mess and pfaff are.

I wasn't convinced by them but I got my partner one for Christmas as she wanted it and it was a good price (£80 for machines, aeroccino and £75 worth of vouchers).
It gets used in our house several times a day and it still doesn't fail to impress, especially the aeroccino. It's obviously not as good as fresh coffee but it's bloody close and it's ridiculously easy to do.
The Aldi capsules are actually fairly decent and work out at about 10p per cup.
Discussed here but no one actually posted the deal separately. Some good info in there nonetheless about the machine and capsules.
Got mine last week but not had a chance to set it up. Seems like great value though and reviews are generally positive.

Good enough for the Italians. You don't get the crema, the creamy head as with an espresso machine, but the shot of coffee itself is good.

My Nespresso gives nice crema, I'm surprised if yours doesn't?
For me Nespresso is the convenience, first thing in a morning where SWMBO and myself don't have time to mess about, its pop in pod, press button walk away to finish getting ready etc, nice coffee ready to drink within minutes. When you have kids to get ready for school or just need to get out the door quickly the less hassle the better. Considering the number of people who stop every morning at CostaBucks and pay 10x what even nespresso costs, its a bargain. My machine is probably the one kitchen gadget that would be replaced same day if it broke and was irrepairable.
Does remind me I need to place an order...

I've been through loads of coffee machines. gaggia with conical burr grinder. aeropress, bialletti stovetop (which are all very good). tassimo (awful). but have put them all in the loft. the nespresso is so small easy no grinds everywhere. yes it is expensive compared to grinding your own. but much cheaper than Costa(which is horrible and burned half the time anyway). I can make a lovely cappuccino with 2 button presses and the cleanup is a rinse of the aeroccino. would really recommend, the pixie is a really nice version.

Percol now do capsules and they compost within 12 weeks. I've only tried the strongest (from Sainsbury's) and it was good, better than Taylor's not quite as good as nespresso.

i got a nespresso compatible with frothehr fir 30 quid from dias. this was ideal for me i agree 30p a coddee is steep but they're great with a nice crema and im not a barista so its better for me than buying a mote expensive machine.
