I have paid for many denuvo games thus far, such as tomb raider and doom etc. However just out of curiosity I downloaded the cracked versions of the games and they run not only 10-15 fps better, they also lack this distinct denuvo game-esque thing where the game jerks every few minutes as though it's putting a load on the hard drive.
I was going to upgrade my graphics card which is quite hefty because I thought there was a bottleneck somewhere but the bypassed versions run much better. Without any lag. So it has to be denuvo. Sorry, not going to support software that's gimped.

I don't mind Denuvo as it protects games during their key sales window. In one way it's a positive thing as I suspect several games would not have been released on PC without it.
It would be nice if it was patched out later as I like to check files and see what can be user modified. The big complaints against Denuvo (aside from piracy) is that it wastes hardware resources and lowers performance, though I believe this has been disproved.

As a matter of principle, I am not buying any game with denuvo.

Why not?
As far as I am aware, Denuvo is not DRM. It's just a protection system to stop people breaking the games actual DRM (which is Origin).
To my knowledge Denuvo is self contained within the game and does not install anything extra on the PC
Is this not the case?

Looks like the site has a new design. You now have to log in to enter the code (ORIGIN50).

So is this another game where they critics weren't impressed but the actual players rather enjoyed it then?
Big fan of the first game, but was disappointed the sequel never came with a chase mode multiplayer component.

Players don't care either - it barely made a dent when it was released in spite of all the people begging for a sequel. And now it's only £12.50.

Another missed opportunity, the promo videos were outstanding and there is an audience but they fluffed it again. Third time lucky? Perhaps but they will never get the funding.
At it's core Mirror's Edge has great potential, unfortunately it uses the Frostbite engine and Denuvo. If it was developed using open platform like UE4 and they encouraged modding (Steam Workshop) I suspect we'd have a far superior game with a dedicated fan base creating superb content and full overhauls.
EA can only blame themselves for the death of this franchise.

They just never improved on the original and actually made it worse. A sequel that was just too long in coming.

I was really disappointed and I liked the original. I'm not that bad at games but the naff delivery missions were too unforgiving on time. You had to do them 20 odd times to find a route that worked. Such a shame. And the story was bobbins from as far as I got into it.

Just tried it and it states:
"This promo code does not apply to one or more items in your cart. Please make sure your cart contains only items that are eligible for this promo code before proceeding."
BUT!
I then used the Origin PC client and tried through that and used the Promo code ORIGIN50 and got it for £12.49 because I am a numpty and didn't read the offer properly

It's as divisive as the original, even for people that liked the original! For what it's worth I thoroughly enjoyed both games, although I played catalyst before I played the original.

The new Origin client is awful. Tried to buy it on there and the PayPal window crashed. Ended up having to use browser to get it. Heat added
Can also play the game in the deal for 6 hours if you have access.

Tempted to pick up the latest Need For Speed, but two things stop me
Initial price of £50 is just BS, and paying £25 for a PC game 6 months after release - not happening!

Works on the Mexico store as well, gets the price down a little more.
I was just about to get the Battlefront season pass for about £13 but the game's player base is terribly low so I have decided to pass it...
