For close to the price of the single SIM 950 at the Microsoft store here in the UK (£249 vs £250.26) you can have the dual SIM version.
This, of course, could be used for a personal and a business SIM on one phone, but it will probably get used for covering up making 'special' phone calls.
This has the Continuum dock, and we can all hope that Microsoft learns to spell or will teach us to pronounce their new word. At least they won't get sued this time for copyright infringement. Probably.
Vote hot, vote cold because it isn't an iPhone or Android or a personal lease vehicle or your other half just yelled at you or you're a bored teenager and think voting cold is cool.
And if you are tempted to get the 10% off because you are a 'student' you lose the dock.
So there.

It is basically dead at the moment - 1st quarter 2016 Windows phone were 0.69% ( yes less than 1% !) of worldwide sales - Android phones have 84.11%. Windows phones peaked at less than 3% in 2014 and it has been downhill ever since.

The question is will we get the Continuum dock if we order this from Microsoft France? Do they bundle it in or do we have to redeem?

You do get the dock, I spoke with them and it was automatically added to my order when I checked out.
Transcript of the important bit:
You: Hello, does the 950 dual sim come with the dock when I buy it as a student?
You: I am in the UK
Brad: Thank you, one moment while I check that for you.
Brad: So at this time, it looks like the Display Dock is only available for non-student purchases of the phone. The Student discount isn't combinable with other offers and the same would apply to the free dock offer.
You: Ok, so if I want the dock, I pay full price?
Brad: For the student discount it would be the full price, however I would recommend getting the phone without the student discount to get the dock as it's a better offer between the two.
You: Thank you

I owned one of the XLs with the dock. I bought it when there was 20% off of the Amazon warehouse prices... The concept is superb. But the lack of continuum supported apps, the mildly buggy experience when in full screen and the overall heat of the phone was a problem.
That said, as just a phone, it is excellent. And if you can forgive the sales blurb and see it for what it is, a super sized phone experience, then actually it's pretty good. Just wasn't what I needed...

I had the XL, the Snapdragon 810 chip does get hot even browsing the net, I sent it back and ordered the 950 as it has the 808 chip so runs cooler and the battery lasts longer.
The 810 chip has a reputation for the heat.

I don't think they will have a choice, there is practically no user, developer or carrier interest in these phones, not that there was ever much interest in them despite Microsoft ploughing billions upon billions into Windows Phone/Mobile.
I think theres as much chance of Blackberry becoming popular again or Linux replacing Windows as the most popular desktop OS... not going to happen! Windows Phones don't sell even at feature-phone prices.
For the most part, it is the interface that is different with the various operating systems, and how many apps are written for that OS.
If Android looked like Windows OS, I would switch, but I do not like the icons on Android and iOS.
It is interesting that Microsoft made a Windows Mobile for the Xiaomi Mi4, and is reportedly doing the same for the Mi4 and also the OnePlus family.
That may be their way forward, giving people the option of picking a phone and installing which OS they want. I almost bought the Xiaomi Mi4 just to try it out, but the camera isn't great from what I read.

Of Windows phone? Maybe years ago mate but not since they launched the newer versions that didn't support encryption at rest (I believe 8 didn't launch with it). They got dropped like a stone as soon as they weakened their security, iOS and Android took over.
Also where in the NHS have you still seen XP? It's rare to find an NHS PC not running Windows 7 now.
The reason the NHS were so keen on Microsoft was due to the Select Agreement. The government basically paid for it with an £80m fund, which meant that the NHS didn't have to pay Microsoft for any software. They could just use whatever they wanted. That's been scrapped now and has led to a massive increase in costs.

Just bought a mint 950 XL with the Dock (and some cases) for £250. I have seen them for around £200 as well.

I needed to replace my old 920 which was a great phone but I just don't trust Microsoft right now to maintain support with slightly older devices.
This could be a great phone but there is a significant chance MS could just drop it and you find you have a £250 phone that can't do the things it was advertised as.
Plus it won't work well with anything since no one is committing to develop compatible apps. IF (big if) MS throw their weight and money behind a Surface phone things might improve but it doesn't mean it'll improve for the 950.
I bought an iPhone in the end. I still think Windows Phone (8.1) is a far superior operating system but everything just works with the iPhone and I haven't even needed to bother with iTunes.

I replaced my 920 with the 950, it is not as tough as the 920, but everything pretty much works, only one or two of the apps I used not available on W10. Poor Cortana was getting a bit senile on the 920, so what else could I do but take her out behind the shed and shoot her?

Still big bits of government using WinPho but MS's fannying around means lots are looking to move away from it. NHS can be quite open and runs BYOD kit so all sorts in use.
Shouldn't be any XP in hospitals except on isolated systems. The police are still using XP and getting quite scared right now.

Our company ditched iPhones and now issues Windoze phones to save money. They are okay, but the apps just aren't quite as good as the Apple or Android ones and there are nowhere near as many. If it does what you want then it's a bargain, but I wouldn't pick a Windows phone out of choice. I wouldn't go back to Apple either - way overpriced and they suck too much power. I much prefer Android and Windoze support isn't likely to last much longer.
