Maybe I'm missing something but these are walking shoes which are neither waterproof nor fit properly and yet are somehow a bargain because they are Merrells? The power of branding I guess.

I'm inclined to agree except...These are the best hiking shoes I ever owned. Granted I bought them in a shop and spent half an hour trying different sizes before finding a pair that fit (I'm a size 7, needed a size :sunglasses:. And they have a big gash on the left shoe, upper near the ankle (right hand side).
But I still wear them to commute in every day.

Got a pair of these at £46 recently, great comfy shoes but usual rubbish Merrell quality though. They have a small tear already. Still an absolute bargain at £33!! Hot hot hot

Sadly I had the same with mine though a different model. Rips/tears in material after few months. And unusually high wear.
Their quality was poor, really poor.

Thanks to Merrell's stupid sizing I have a pair of their shoes which I can't wear - never again!
Why can't they just use the same sizing as everyone else?

The sizing even changes across model. I bought a second pair of Chameleon 2's a few years after the first and they fitted differently desire being the same size. The model was very sightly different. A guy who works at an outdoor shop said they all vary because there use so many different factories.

There doesn't appear to be a universal sizing unfortunately. I can fit shoes from Clarks, but the same size from other places are too small :disappointed:
Great timing, I was just thinking I could do with another pair of these. I've had a few pairs of this type and not had any quality issues, I find them pretty durable given I usually wear them every day.

Thanks for this, got a camelcamel alert this morning when they dropped below 50 quid, glad I didn't act right away.
Some nitwit is probably getting good money to come up with these names unless the janitor scribbles them down on the back of a Rizla after his fag break.

I can highly recommend these - they're the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a long long time. Be aware that they're not waterproof, though, and Merrell's sizes are kinda weird - I'm normally an 11 but I buy these in a 12. I suggest buying a couple of pairs in different sizes and then returning a pair.
