Asda store near me in the South West region is clearing out their stock of Almond butter, from £3.98 down to £1.
Great to use on your breakfast, to bake with, and whatever else you'd like to use almond butter for.

My pleasure. Most porridge oats are ready rolled, so they don't need cooking. It's a personal choice, but I find it gives the granola an earthier flavour and compliments the other ingredients.

Nice one thanks. I noticed similar recipes actually oven cook the mixture and I'm wondering why yours doesn't need that. Could it taste better still?

Certainly. It's just a simple low fat recipe, hence the reason I like the natural Meridian range. 1/4 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of almond butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 3/4 cups of oats, 1/2 a cup of dried cranberries. Heat the honey and almond butter in a saucepan until it's melted and creamy. Stir in the vanilla. Pour into a bowl with the oats and cranberries. Stir until everything's coated. Press the mixture firmly into a non stick tin or baking pan. Let it cool for a few hours then cut into 16 even bars. You can keep them this way or squeeze the bars into round granola bites. Store in a sealed container. Job done.

I was really excited about this deal and I went to my local Asda today only to check if they have it there....Unfortunately, I could only see the price £1 Reduced to Clear and everything was already gone :disappointed: I was **** off as I am a huge fan of peanut butter and I really wanted to try almond butter but it's way too expensive! Especially, for a student on a tight budget, with no job and parents' financial support :/ ugh....Life..
