Specification wise, this looks to be a really good price for a non import phone. Unusual to see 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM at this price for sure. A budget contender? Certainly looks competitive with the Moto G4 for £30 less. **Update** Someone has bought the phone and posted a quick review, post 90 - Thanks mucker53

mucker53 minutes ago 2 Likes – You like #90

Received mine today so here's a quick review.

Overall, very impressed so far. My previous phone was a Sony M4 Aqua which at 8Gb onboard, was quite appalling. After installing everything I had on the M4, I still have 23Gb free on the Medion.

There was quite a bit of bloatware installed and I managed to delete about a dozen or so apps. Some apps still remain that I'm unable to remove but I'm honestly not that bothered, considering the amount of storage I have left. I haven't found a secure method of rooting yet.

The phone is very responsive. I already notice a big difference in performance over my M4 which could be very laggy at times. I'm hoping that the Medion holds out and is able to handle it's memory better. Time will tell.

The screen is very clear and also very responsive. It seems a lot sharper in comparison to the M4 which seems washed out most of the time. Looks to have a screen protector prefitted. Haven't tested the camera yet.

All the apps I've installed so far (Twitter, Ebay, Shpock, Waze,Periscope, Paypal, Snapchat, Evernote, Open Camera) plus a few other have all behaved themselves so far. When all were opened, I still had about 1Gb RAM free.

Size wise, it's almost the same size as the M4, but a bit thicker. It feels plasticky but to be honest, it doesn't bother me as I'll probably bung it in a silicon type case any.

Overall, I'm delighted with it for the money. Better than my previous M4 and better value than anything second hand off fleabay for the same money. This looks like a keeper.....at least until something else on HUKD comes along :-)

It is £30 cheaper than the G4, so you are going to have to accept some compromises. It might be handy if you could make all your comments on one post as well, rather than spamming the thread as your command of written English is not that great so it makes it hard to follow.

Dual SIM phone from a reputable High Street Shop. Great Specs too. Hot from me.

Not sure about the specs. The CPU might be an Intel, which causes all kinds of compatibility issues (or it is a Mediatek, which will never see an upgrade). And Android 5.0 is 3 versions out of date and full of security holes. It is quite amazing that a reputable shop is selling something as obsolete as this as new.

1 tip when ordering from AliExpress is not to use DHL/FedEx but just the standard express ems airmail. FedEx/DHL will guarantee you pay import fees. if you message your seller and tell them to label the package as gift/ mp3 player/ value $20 you won't pay any import fees.

short comings? none what so ever. it is my daily driver and I'm sure as a spare phone u might decide to use it as your main one!

Only issue I've found with my Note 3 Pro is the gyro is jumpy unless you're in a bright room and have the auto brightness turned off (it's a known issue). Also it has MIUI (currently 5.1.1 based but should be getting 6.0.1 soon) and not pure android, but it's pretty solid and I don't mind it at all. The bottom line - it's quick, well built, has a great screen and a huge battery.

I got mine from banggood and paid no customs. I did have to flash the global rom onto it though (which requires a PC).

I'd look around for a Moto G3 at that sort of price if you are stuck at £90 for your budget- it'll still get more updates than this does... I'll bet the camera and battery life will be better too.
mynameisthehulk
5 Sep 16 1 #71
I think the main selling point for this device is the 32GB of storage, which is very unusual for a budget device. The other options mentioned (non import) have a maximum of 16GB. Now from my point of view this is less important but I do note that for a lot of commenters on HUKD the device storage is a vital issue and therefore this device does seem to satisfy that requirement, although I can understand it lags behind a bit in terms of SoC and the Android version. I hope it helps someone out, and I am happy that we can all agree that accyuklad is a waste of skin.

You would probably find that you purchased a phone without Band 20, what you can usually do is drop the phone to 3G and you will see your signal much better too. Showed this trick to someone at a Hyde Park concert where he had no data at all, switched to 3G and you get a good connection still.

This looks like a great option for a spare phone, perhaps to take on holiday instead of your 5-600 quid phone, or something to have on standby in case your usual phone goes Kaputt. However, why according to the website doesn't it work in the USA? Does this mean that there are other countries that it won't work in, but they've only listed the USA as it's a common holiday destination? I visit family in Brazil whenever funds and time allow, is there a chance it wouldn't work there too?

Quick update on my initial review.
Had the phone for a week now and the phone continues to impress. It's very responsive, the camera is excellent (despite being a mere 8MP) and of all the apps I've installed only one had given me gip, Twitter, once.
And because of the storage capacity, I now use Spotify on the go. Have downloaded about a dozen albums on medium quality (160k) and I still have 18Gb free.
Battery life is excellent. I get a full day out of a single charge with 2 hours on Spotify, a couple of hours total on Twitter, Periscope, ebay and the usually mid usage browsing, checking emails etc.
I haven't installed any of those free up RAM or cache cleaner apps as I haven't felt the need to, the performance is that good.
I also use Waze (free sat nav app) a bit more now as the satellite reception hasn't glitched once, which it did frequently with my previous phone.
Hard to beat and to be honest, one of my better phone purchases in recent times. (I'm still reeling about the Sony M4 Aqua which in my opinion, pales in comparison).
One more thing, I can't find a silicon gel type case for these so if anyone knows where to buy one, please share. Cheers

Thanks for the review  very helpful....

And the whole picture quality thing, it doesnt really matter how many million pixels a camera has, its more the quality of the lens that determines the quality of photos.... Seems to have a good quality lens going by your review
