Totally misleading picture. Says it comes with 3 keys, but has four pictured.
I'll bet it doesn't even come with passports. Lying gits!

What's the point in having these.
A good reputable burglar will just take the safe and crack it open 50 miles away
It's like a signpost to your valuables

That's why you buy two. One just sitting in the cupboard, with any old junk in it. Another, harder to find, bolted to a cement floor or brick wall, or both.

The trick is to not put anything but a note in the safe. When they crack open the safe, they'll find a note calling them a... well. You get the idea.

I have one a few years now had it bolted to the floor inside my bedroom cupboard, moved house now and have it bolted inside my new cupboard it's got 4 holes so you can bolt it down, keep it all my money, passports etc in it. I don't mind telling what's in it, as know one here knows where I live :-)

Protip. A lot of the time the ones in the rooms they forget to reset the backup unlock code of 0 0 0 0 on the digital ones. Hopefully that'll save you from lugging around a safe on holiday!

Good value. It has been this price earlier this year. Argos like Currys put their prices up and down like a yo-yo so you are never really sure what the normal price is.

I would keep your money and save it for a better one like "chubb" as these cheap safe's are so easy to get into!
And your insurance companies are more likely to favour a more recognisable brand.

I wouldn`t tell my insurance company anything as they only use it as an excuse not to pay out.

I think thats on some of the electronic ones, not sure if the same trick works on these.
frakison to Quickblood
17 Sep 16#41
I would doubt it as these are mechanical so nothing to "bump". I think you're referring to the cheap digital ones use magnets to pull the bolt back electronically and the spring pushed it back to lock. The problem was that a sharp bump in the right place compressed the spring and opened the safe.

2 people I know have these and they are very good for the price, ideal for a bit of extra security for small valuables and a few quid. The secret is finding somewhere to bolt it too either a floor joist/through floorboard and use Coach screws or into concrete, either anchor bolts or if its decent concrete Lightning bolts. A more cautious person might enclose it with fireproof rated plasterboard (4-5 layers ) obviously a removable top, all one needs is a little bit of imagination and some DIY skills. I fitted one in a similar manner then encased it in plywood had a piece of pipe coming out of side of it going into a wall, painted it all the same as cupboard interior and the average idiot who is looking for a fast few quid wouldn't even look twice at it.

If your going for one just remember the heavier it is the less likely they are to carry it off and don't go for the ones with the digital keys they are easily hacked or even the batteries in them die!
Sorry guys at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
