Just been in Wilkos and they're marking down most of the garden stuff for a final clearance to make way for christmas stock. Staff said it's national. I'll post a pic of my receipts in 1st post so all prices can be seen.
Garden colours paints 1L (lots of colours) £2
Butane gas cartridge 220g - 50p
Willow fence 20 cm x 200cm - £1
Kneeler pads - 25p
Willow screen 4mx1m - £4
Garden fork - £1.25
Spade - £1.25
Solar lights 50p & £1
I'll list more in the first post but can't list everything as there's loads. Just look through the receipts and pics
Just kidding  I just got an allotment so have stocked up.

Pro-Tip in case it helps anyone, I got bored of the plastic line on my cheap strimmer keep breaking, so I replaced it with some "twin and earth" solid core mains cable.
strip the live and neutral wires out of about 2' of cable (I found 2.5mm^2 works well) wrap them in opposite directions on the spool, trim to the right length then marvel at your cheap strimmer/brush cutter.

In Merthyr high street they had large gro-bags (about 8-10kg / 15-20liters - not sure) discounted to £0.50 a bag.
Funnily, there is no car park close and it is prohibited to take the trolleys out of the store LOL.
I bought 45 bags anyway, took me 4 very heavy trips with the large Tesco trolley.
There was another 100 or so bags left.

I got a few bits today at the Nelson store. Most didn't have the reduced prices till went through the till so it made it a bit hard choosing what to get. They had big seasonal reduction posters through out the store. I'm tempted to go back for another look tomorrow? Does anyone know if their plants would be reduced? I'm just getting into gardening & doing my back garden. Not sure if I could make anything grow from seed.

My store had loads of plants reduced. It might be worth giving them a call tomorrow before you set off to ask if the plants are reduced. It'd save you a trip if they're not.

Nice one OP, got myself the last spade in Swansea (gutted as I really need a new fork!).
LOADS of good garden hand tools left though (£1) and they seem excellent quality, and a cracking telescopic weeder for £2.50
Got my 10% off too with the "Big Heart of Swansea" discount card.
Was so excited with all my new tools I didn't even get through the door when I arrived home, I was clearing weeds for an hour!
Cheers

Not ALL stores reduce items at the same time, it depends on lots of things. This happens every year, got to be the best seasonal reductions Ive ever seen. Last year I got £75 power washers for £20 each, and lots of other items. We wait to buy our yearly gardening supplies at Wikos in August/September. Heat added although Its not new.
You are right, the final price is at the discretion of the store manager, it depends how quickly they need the space for Chistmas stuff. Not all stores need the space, so although seeds and consumables will still get the same reduction, the likes of pressure washers may not.

Wakefield Wilko has a bit left, I got loads of 10p seeds  Nothing else I really needed, but a quite a bit left, log rolls, solar lights, garden toys, a few plants/planters, accessories, compost, feed/weed killer etc. Trolley BBQ's are down to £6 online too BTW.

Sounds a great tip - although really do make sure you are wearing trousers and suitable eye/hand protection as I think flung at strimmer speed an inch of copper may well cause some serious damage

That's not what the staff said this morning. She said the prices are drop automatically on the system, all they have to do instore is change the price label on the shelf. I don't work there though so I can only tell you what I've been told and what I found instore. Lots of other people have found these items at other stores, which supports what staff told me. Sorry you missed out.
