Posted a deal 6 days ago about a door handle and now there is massive discounts across the range at Screwfix. Includes door handles with lock plates from £1.29. Perfect time to replace those indoor door handles.
Maybe you need a door lock then and not a handle ......

Perfect, was in B&Q this weekend and for 8 handles it was going to cost around £100. Just cost me £12.50. That'll do me.

Thanks, voted hot. I've just bought 4 door handles for less than the price of 1 would cost at most other places (£6.26).
I couldn't reserve on line for some reason, and when I went to the store some of the ones I wanted had sold out.
Brilliant deal, thanks

Installed mine last night, they look much better than they do on the website. The screws they come with are a bit naff though. Good job some came with spares, as 2 boxes came with not enough. Can't moan for the price though.

What's rubbish about it! Some of the ones I bought had scratches on and were obviously returned! I didn't say ALL I said SOME! Just lean off the keyboard if you've got nothing constructive to add!

Bought some yesterday, the square bar is bigger than the ones they're replacing so will need new latches. Also need to figure out how to fill in the gaps from the awful round knobs we've currently got.

Is this for a pair of handles including latch and fixings ?
cheesemane to DavePerry1972

Generally it will be a pair of handles with fixing screws and actuator bar.
If you are replacing for cosmetic reasons, you can probably reuse the existing latch in the door , which will mean less work.
Thanks OP - ordered and will collect later.
Just need to pick up some DIY skills whilst I am there!

I bought these cheap ones for the downstairs and expensive ones for upstairs, the cheap ones need all replacing, colour fade, locks jamming. Buy quality ones you will save money in the long run and house won't look cheap.
Edit cheap ones were from elsewhere, Argos I think, but look exactly the same as the ones at screwfix.

I'm looking at picking up some of these door handles, however, because they will be new doors, will need the latch plates as well. I've looked on the website and the latch plates are different sizes, ie, 63 mm, 82 mm - how do you know what size latch plate to buy - I'm going to buy the small face plate door handles (100 mm long)? Thank you.

30 Sep 161#55
For new installs I'm not sure if it matters much, because you don't have to match existing holes in the door and frame. As far as I'm aware, the handle size is unrelated to the latch size.
You may wish to read around and ask in store to confirm

Thanks shabbird, late to the party on this one but still managed to get a handle on the deal.
Whole house handles replaced for the princely sum of 10 of her majestys pounds sterling.
Quality seems ok, very similar to old handles so very easy swap.

Comes with a years guarantee.
Just hope you can handle this deal.

If it's a new fit, you'll need to buy latches separately http://www.screwfix.com/c/security-ironmongery/door-accessories/cat840388
