Gone are the days when amazon made them self's the best price online, all they do now days is price match Tesco or Argos, If they can afford to go to £35 why not sell it at that from the word go.

Was about to cancel and re-order as I ordered it for £37 yesterday, but it seems Amazon read my mind and is charging me £35 when dispatched. I guess the preorder price guarantee isn't a load of bulls***.

Can someone explain how flubit works. I never signed up before.
You post a link to the item you want to buy from amazon, they will search other sellers for a better price it takes usually about 10 hours or so before they email you back with a deal sometimes it's a good deal you might save a fiver or so sometimes it's 50p or nothing at all, but it doesn't hurt to see if they can beat it and then you buy via their site instead of amazon.

Go on the nus website and click the 5% code, type it into amazon and it will be applied to everything sold by amazon from then on.

does seem weird....where are they ordering this stuff from for you? and what protection is there if it doesn't turn up or delivered faulty? plenty wouldn't order things off a dodgy website...why does using flubit differ? don't really get it. given it a go out of curiosity

£32.12 for me but I've never even bothered with them till now, will have to check what price I pre-ordered this from the game collection for.
I am still umming and ahhing about the collector's edition but it's quite a sting as I'm not convinced it'll sell out like say the GTAV or Witcher 3 ones did, I could actually see it being around the 50 quid mark a few months down the line a la Hitman and Doom.

Hmmmm as this will be my first time using Flubit I think I'll much rather go with their initial £32.12 offer because that was from the game collection because I know them very well and I had pre-ordered this title from them anyway.

Well I called the game collection about an hour ago to say I'd pre-ordered this game off them again via flubit last night and it's all cool, it always is with them because they are a top retailer period.
Spoke to a top bird called Gemma who confirmed they had my Flubit order, she's even mailed me a screen capture of it, and cancelled my initial one from about a month ago. She also assured me 100% that Flubit pre-orders go out at exactly the same time as those from them direct do.
And that's exactly why I was happy to pay a quid more to make the purchase through them rather than this other mob in Kilburn flubit came back to me with when I got Scrooge like and resubmitted, give me thegamecollection.net all day long

How's it work if the retailers don't actually ship the product or have it in stock then?
I noticed some flubit reviewers talking about never getting their purchases and even orders getting cancelled days after they were meant to be despatched. That sort of thing is why I went with the £32.12 offer from the game collection, rather than the £31.02 one I got from Uptown Games whoever they might be :smirk:

Hint to anyone using gmail and wading through the flubit random pricing scheme. Gmail doesn't recognise or care about any . before the @ symbol in email addresses.
I submitted multiple requests in new accounts using e.g. [email protected], [email protected][email protected], all the emails go to the same address, but flubit sees them as separate accounts so you can submit numerous concurrent requests and pick the cheapest one.
I got different prices for each account. I do think they seem to give better prices to new users.

I've never played a Mafia game before, are they comparable to GTA in quality?

I've only played Mafia 2 and imo it wasn't on par with GTA... they are nicely done but are padded out unnecessarily.
I think it will be a solid 7/10 at least, but not something to challenge GTA.
