Really disappointed with this offer - our local store had only a couple of stodgy desserts, hardly any sides - the mains are single serving meals, apart from the kievs. Not very good value at all.

Lots of Gastro choices in my local and the beef with peppercorn sauce is very large for one and absolutely beautiful.

Went in today. I have to say very disappointed. Single portions of paella or pie that would have just been double the size and the same quality on the other dine in. Horses for courses but not for me :-(

Never found the old boring meal deal enough for 4 so this for me is better, at least Hubby and i can have different mains and a share 2 sides as opposed to sharing the same old choices that they have had for years.
I agree, the wine was drinkable but personally I would rather a different choice of main than my husband and 2 sides and a posher desert.
Each to their own though.

I's it enough for 4 as the previous dine ins were enough for 2! Wine was fine. Drinkable.

Cold. No wine. Is it 2 single mains rather than 1 main for 2? At the end of the day if you want posh food don't get a dine in.

Very serious, it was never good wine in the old deal.
This deal is much better, 2 large mains and 2 large sides as opposed to the same old main for 2 which was always the same and one side that was never enough for 2.

If you have a deli in your M&S then look at the new meal deal for £10 from the counter, they never seem to advertise these deals very well and I only found it by chance, it started yesterday and is on till Tuesday.
1 whole cooked chicken
2 pots of any 200g salad or 400g of 1 type
1 bottle of wine.

Does this mean the sparks card holders are no longer getting 2nd side or do we. Now get three? Rather have bottle of wine.. an excellent deal with the alcohol

i cant believe all the moaning about no wine , why dont you buy this deal then buy a bottle of wine if you want the wine so much thats what i did , as i thought this is a different deal from the one with the wine ,

Cold, such a poor effort from Marks. Two little farty mains instead of one decent one.A poor selection of sides, which basically one side is replacing the bottle of wine from the normal dine in deal.Don't waste your time !

To be fair, what else are you going to give a hooker? It's got to be champagne or blow!

Yeah, me too. Portions looked really small especially the beef in peppercorn sauce (barely for 1 I would of said!). Heat added though as with pots and veg, or extra veg you can still manage to have it for two people especially as most of the mains had potatoes in it (chicken hash, beef hash, cottage pie, shepherds pie, fish pie) etc x

Yes , I thought the cost was covered for M&S as there was no wine as part of the deal, I was ready to stock the freezer . I do agree the choices seemed to be a higher quality but I didn't know that until I got there. Got the three for a tenner meats instead.

Did you expect 2 meals for 2 as opposed to 2 meals for 1 ?
I went to check but I think its a better deal as there are 2 mains and 2 sides so one more side than usual and the 2 separate mains are better (in my opinion) as opposed to the usual one for 2 people as I can choose different things for hubby and I and with 2 sides it makes it a better/bigger meal. Each to their own though

Just back from M&S, the mains in the deal are meals for ONE, so not such a good deal :disappointed:, they were gastropub ones and looked nice but not as good a deal as the usual £10 one, luckily I had to go to M&S to pick up something else so I didn't have a wasted journey.

I've become increasingly disillusioned with their mains. A lot of them are really nothing special.
