was up in "the outlet" Banbridge this afternoon and came across the M&S outlet shop. towards the back they had loads of office suit jackets, trousers and shirts and more reduced. loads of men's clothes on offer for a change.
typical deals going on is £4.99 for a suit jacket
loads of sizes available (RRP £35)
flip flops £12 down to a greyhound (£1)
shirts from £20+ to £5

Only trouble is that M&S Outlet goods are specially brought in to sell at that price, rather than being unsold regular items as they used to be. Next Clearance is the same, ergo low-quality items

Only the items which are labeled "made for outlet" at least they actually say made for outlet unlike Next etc. My local would be about 70% not and 30% "made for outlet" stuff.

At least next has the decency to have a half price sale as the one going on now instead of M&S never having a clear sale or clear prices. They just try to rip off at every single instance and they try to flog off very old stock at this prices behind the back door so full prices payers do not realise how much they have been ripped off.

I agree, i've sometimes seen clothing selling at higher reduced prices at an outlet store than the reduced price was previously in a non outlet store,we have an M &S penny bazaar in Newcastle's Grainger market,until the last year you could bag yourself a bargain,as prices were slashed dramatically there,but now they're more expensive than the outlet stores
