Nothing. It happens every single year, pretty much as the schools in England and Wales go back. The summer stuff comes off the shelves, and it's replaced, bit by bit, by the Christmas stuff. Which is why the tubs of Roses, Celebrations etc have appeared in Tesco.
It happens every year, we all profess to be shocked about it every year, and it will continue ad infinitum for as long as it's profitable for retailers to do so.
