No more fumbling with messy cables. No more breaking delicate connectors. No more hassle. Just plug the station into a wall outlet, forget about it and the next time the battery runs low, drop it to charge.
Form follows function, and that can be seen in our unobtrusive charging plate, elegant stand, attention-grabbing sound speaker or surprising headset design.
The first of our wireless charging accessory range is the Nokia Wireless Charging Plate DT-900. This thin slate will become the new "home" for your Smartphones - at home, at the office, wherever there's a stable and flat surface waiting - so they can relieve themselves of the worry of drained batteries.
Its design matches not only the award-winning Lumia device range, but looks (and works) with other Smartphones lying on top of it.
The DT-900 comes in a variety of colors intended to either blend into its surroundings or boldly stand out. Once plugged into a nearby outlet, the DT-900 charges on contact with Qi-enabled wireless charging products, whether produced by Nokia or other manufacturers.
Our range of wireless charging accessories comes with a large charging surface which means there is no need for precise alignment between phone and charger.
Wire coils found inside compatible products receive power when they come near charging stations, recharging batteries with efficiency rates rivaling the average wired charger (in fact, it's over 80% as efficient). Even though the coils and station never actually come into physical contact (as the back cover remains between them), energy flows and recharging happens when the two are in close proximity (typical range of 3mm). This technology is called "inductive" or "closely coupled" charging.
All of our wireless charging products also feature the latest advances in Foreign Object Detection, which means they don't become active if someone accidentally drops keys, paper clips or any object that's not specifically designed to be charged wirelessly.

I've seen these for a fiver in my local Cex. I don't think they work well with all modern phones though.

"Just plug the station into a wall outlet, forget about it " - no, don't do that, because like every other wall charger left plugged in, it consumes power.

Many people have died from a build up of static electricity generated by these wireless phone chargers.
If one has been left plugged in and you have been away for a few days, the house fills up with the power they emit to the surounding enviroment and just by turning on a light, wizz-bang...goodnight vienna.

Actual many consume no power when not being used.
So it would have to remain in standby for at least 33,000 hours (nearly four years) to consume a single kWh of electricity. I think a kW/h currently costs me about 15p.
I think I'd rather fork out an extra 15p than have to switch it on and off every day for 4 years!

These are great - not to be confused with the smaller cheaper round ones that are harder to set your phone on properly. Usually £20+.

I still use mine that I got with my L1020 on my desk at home daily and it's not fiddly at all. I have just bought one of the newer small round ones for work though as they're rated to charge a bit quicker and can charge from USB but you can't go wrong with these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322260677928

Mine sits at work on my desk - it's fantastic for dropping my phone on and off several times a day keeping it topped up. I would have been a sceptic until I used it. Simple things

I heard it's better for battery to go from full charge to zero or minimum charge before it's charged again, for a longer battery life. If that's still true these days, then "dropping phone on and off several times" might not be the best thing to do.

Of course that's not true- due to there being... an outside and a ground; in the same way we don't cook when we leave the light on and heat builds up (it doesn't).

This is true because it's the phone that completes the circuit.!.
