Just received mine.
Plugged in to a Mac and am getting a slight strobing effect on the lighting.
Looks like it might be due to 50Hz/60Hz or PAL/NTSC? Is there a free way to fix or is anyone else having the same problem?

On the latest Windows 10 x64 build and just a couple of days ago I used this camera to speak with family for over an hour, zero problems. I did see the issues people were having and the very easy fix (if you are having such problems) but no one has asked me about it.

There are so many benefits performance wise of having 10 over 7, mainly for RAM and SSD's. I have found gaming performance to be excellent too. I wouldn't ever downgrade to 7 again.

Literally bought this at 11pm last night for £44.99. Tried to cancel it when I seen this deal this morning, but was too far along in the process to cancel, so thought I'd get the difference refunded via chat, but was told Amazon no longer price match. I own one of these webcams. They are excellent. @ £38 is an amazing price. Hot from me.

I expected someone to say something like that, but phones on camera arent quite the same and wear down battery crazy fast, these are useful for long calls with family and you can just mount it to monitor and such.

And very good for conference calls because of large monitor screen sizes compared to phones.

And most laptops I have tried have awful webcams in some ways more awkward to use than a phone as its locked in position so you can just tilt it, useless if you want to show things like your room easily, a external webcam has the best of both a camera phone and laptop and once connected to a network thats it, no worries about battery life you have high quality image, a wide camera, can easily move it about and better framerates too.

Even know people who attach webcams to laptops so they can show work for presentations and such.

Indeed, very good webcam. Got it in June 2015 at £31.99. Works well on Linux too. Currently connected to a Lenovo Stick PC (Windoze 10) plugged in to the TV for "larger than life" size Skype!!

Phones these days connect to wifi.

In my case a webcam on top of the TV is a must. Kids, living room, running non stop. With a Phone/tablet I have to follow them around ...

But a phone can connect to wifi as much as a laptop/desktop can. Most laptops have cameras too, hence my question.

It's a great webcam. I use this on Windows 10 64 with no problems.

This is hands-down the best webcam out there. Yes it's been released a couple of years now. But nothing has beaten it yet, at least in my opinion. For the record, I have written and am still writing lots of programs for this camera.

I have been using that for almost two years now, brilliant device so far, worth every penny. The autofocus works well, video quality is on point and low light performance is impressive for a webcam that "old". The only issue is that sometimes the Logitech Webcam Software doesn't retain the white balance settings that I have manually set.

I recommend this product!
