For someone looking for an all around low-mid range TV with features such as 4k and HDR this is a decent deal.
However this tv is on the lower end of 4k and HDR configurations, so don't expect so see what you do in your local electronics store that retails for £2000 + .
Imo for this price range you will struggle to find a high end HDR and 4K TV let alone trying to add OLED into the mix, just won't happen.
Stick with a same size and get a high spec 4k TV at this price and drop the HDR. Or pay more/wait longer to get the better 4K and HDR setup.

Checked with a guy at Currys seems , this is a 10 bit pannel ...
That one is 49" though, and this one is 55" - Why are we comparing different size TV's?
By the way, i haven't suggested you are thick?

Agree 100%
OLED is miles ahead of LCD tech for general picture quality - I've had an LG 930V and a Pana 802b - LG destroyed it for image quality - shame it met with the remote control and broke.

Mate, your everyday buyer isn't interested in these features - unless they contain big numbers etc.Bigger is better for the uninformed really.
Out of interest, what is it about the 49" panel that's superior?

True, but its the input lag thats the killer downside for me with the 'budget' OLED TV's at the moment. Fine for TV use but it'll be a big problem when you hook them up to PC's or consoles...

OLED's have the least input lag of any screen out there. It is all the image processing behind it. As long as you put your tv in game / pc mode or turn off the fancy named stuff in your tv settings you should have a blast.

If you're going 4K, it's got to be OLED. Go to your nearest Currys & check them out side by side, I'd even go with an OLED 1080p set over a non-OLED 4K TV at the same price point.

IMO if you are buying a TV right now it needs to have all three of the following features; HDR, local dimming and good motion processing. If it doesn't have those you'll probably be looking for another new TV a year down the line.

i would pick OLED rather then just 4k or even better 4k oled

Previous contributor mentioned Richer Sounds and I appreciate this set has HDR but genuinely need to know about this deal versus this set on Richer Sounds (non-HDR but with the 6 years warranty and same screen size):
Without researching these 2 models, i would assume the LG was a better TV than the Hisense at this price point? unless i've slipped into an alternate reality?

but would you pick a car with go faster stripes and spoliers over the car same without all the 'styling extras' but with modifications that make it handle better?
