Saw this on Flash sale at Very and seems a great price for a 2016 4K HDR TV set.......not sure you'll get much advantage from a 4K set at this size, but HDR should be good!
Specs & PR gumph below:
Explore the incredible world of Ultra HD with the LG 43UH610V 43 inch TV.
Thanks to a 3850 x 2160 UHD resolution, everything looks so lifelike that you'll feel like you're right there at the heart of the action, whether it's a rom-com, your favourite soap, the big match or a Hollywood blockbuster.
LG have taken this even further using HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology that extends the range of colours for enhanced realism, delivering brighter whites, darker blacks and stunning levels of contrast.
The clever 4K Upscaler feature also converts lower resolution entertainment for added detail, so your Blu-ray movies and other HD content will look near Ultra HD quality!
The award-winning LG Smart TV with Freeview Play also gives you easy-to-use internet features, including watching YouTube videos or keeping up with your social networking via Facebook and Twitter. You can also watch TV shows via catch-up services simply by scrolling back through the electronic programme guide.
Thanks to its simple user experience and set up, you can switch between live TV, apps and your external devices using the Launcher bar and Live Menu. This LG 4K TV is also ultra slim and will look great either mounted on your wall or sat on the supplied plinth.
There's access to NOW TV too, where you can enjoy a selection of films, including Sky Movies titles. You can also watch both Full HD and 4K Content through the likes of Netflix & Amazon.

The whole HDR 8bit and 10bit thing is almost like a re-run of the whole HR ready Tv thing back in the day. lol
Glad i am sitting this one out until the Scorpio is launched.

8-bit panels (and some 10-bit panels) aren't hitting the UHD Premium standard. In simple terms, turning HDR mode on with these TV's will make a difference with HDR content and with the right content, it'll look impressive, it just won't look how it should.

I have a similar telly as this which is non-HDR. Still a good tv but can definitely say that 4k really doesn't do much at this size.

Thanks for this. I was under the impression 8 and 10 bit HDR panels were a bit like HD ready (720p) and Full HD (1080p). That is, there is improvement just not full fat HDR?

also is there a code to get this price or has it just gone back up to £499?

Exactly! I want it for the Xbox One S, so need 10bit HDR as far as I know. Although I looked online and forums state that all 2016 (UH) LG TVs are HDR10 ? confused!?

If it's an 8 bit panel, it won't be able to display HDR, only accept an HDR signal. They (and all TV manufacturers) need to be a lot clearer in their advertising with these TV's. Borderline lying.

In fact I might post that as a deal, as it's a great price.
