The thing about Technic is...4000 pieces for an amazing price, but half of them will be little black or blue pins. Weight is a far better measure of value for Lego.

Valid point but as someone who is three quarters of the way through constructing this, it's an absolute steal at this price - trust me.

Quite a few near me, looks like 1 per store though only so that could be why stock is thin

Yes, very good price for this. I also missed out on this on their website.
However...
If you look on their eBay store you can purchase (plus a 3.95 delivery charge) (follow this link http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/351766780360?_mwBanner=1) there is an option for click and collect at store, however as soon as you click through to this it says the same as the website - 'out of stock'
Would say be quick, as might expire when they cotton on / read this...? Still a very good price, even with the 4 squiddles delivery. Looks like an epic set.
I guess the way they work it is that they allocate a certain amount of sets for offer price, as thy don't want people taking the ****? I found that when they had the 3 for 2 offer a few months ago they sold out & then as soon as the promotion stopped they then had them back in stock 2 days later, obviously showing that they had stock in the pipeline, however were unwilling to sell it to stop 'collateral damage' to their profits. I am guessing that this is what will happen with this offer... Worth noting that there is a 2 per customer limit placed on this. Although I can't see anything stopping you from placing multiple orders of 2...
Hope it helps somebody... ( remember only 113 days til Xmas  )

Ordered for collection. Went to collect and they presented me with a returned product (including badly re-taped packaging). Told them that I'm not paying for second-hand goods. Got an on the spot refund.
Buyer beware.

Bought and fast tracked and when I went to get it the seals have been popped and I wasn't going to start counting through the 20odd bags of lego so refunded and they're ordering another. PITA

It's £149 at ASDA, however they have £20 off a £100 spend so only £129.
