million time better quality food, cleanliness, service and museum + effort into decor and atmosphere at wetherspoons. on a Tues, all day, not in city centre, its around £6.50 for 8oz Aberdeen Angus rump or sirloin with all trimmings and good choice of drinks and fast good service mega clean million times better venues. spoons is very underrated.

I somewhat agree. It has helped to shakeup many an overpriced food venue. However, far from perfect - the food is decent, never great (microwave, ready meals stuff in the main, low quality oven chips), you must like horribly sticky tables and you must be willing to tolerate the local drunks who frequent from morning till evening. I have been to many around the country and while the format and consistency is it's greatest asset, it's also it's biggest weakness (as per preceding comments)!
