What's wrong with buying bagged ice? Since we don't have an ice machine anymore this is a lot quicker and easier than making ice cubes yourself.

Lidl front door = 10 meters from my front door. To keep up with ice consumption in our house we would need a freezer just for keeping those little ice trays in. Hence why we used to have an ice maker!

To those people moaning. What do you guys do for a party? I'm sure 40 ice cubes in a tray won't cut it so you'd either buy bags of ice or a fridge that can dispense ice.
I don't get people who complain about this....but maybe it's just me.

I just had a look at ice cube bags and didn't realise how expensive they are, that really makes this seem like much better value. This is half the price of what I've paid when there's been a party so heat for it. I just put takeaway containers full of water in the freezer and smash it up.
