So been using these today and they sound far superior to my old Turtle Beach X12s, very happy. One thing I would mention is that this 'Core' edition doesn't come with any of the extras (adaptors, material ear covers) that were packed in with the Hypercloud 1. Can't complain for 35 quid though.

I concur with most people that these are a very good pair of headphones that are consistently well reviewed.
Good audio fidelity on not only gaming but movies and music, pretty comfortable for extended use and the mic is detachable, which is useful!
Bought mine for about £56 18months ago and that was a pretty good deal, at this price it is definitely worth it.

Hyper X Clouds are one of the few actually decent 'gaming' headsets (The model IIs are fantastic). Heat added.

Must've 'run out' (ie nabbed by staff) of stock probably. I picked mine up from the Perth store this morning. Maplins were also selling this through Amazon webdeals so don't think it was an error.

Had these reserved for collection today and they've canceled it saying they cannot fulfill the order. Was this a pricing error?

I bought the HyperX Cloud II after discovering it was a re-branded Takstar Pro 80.
The first HyperX is the same, apart from it doesn't have a memory foam headband and doesn't have a completely unnecessary 7.1 virtual surround sound USB dongle.
I only use if for stereo audio anyway, so the dongle isn't used. I connect mine to a PC via a Fiio E10k DAC and the sound is very good indeed, and at £34.99 it's a bargain.

Coupled with a basic Xonar DGX sound card, these headphones are amazing value for money.

Does anybody know if the new xb1 S controllers have the 3.5mm Jack? Or do you still need a chat adapter?

Bought these in a lightning deal for £40 around 2 years back, amazing value for money. Immersive sound, not too heavy, and really comfortable (even for longer periods of time). If you're coming from speakers or really budget headphones, you'll hear sounds you couldn't before.
Not sure how they compare to the Cloud II model or if they're worth the extra money, but I can't see anyone being disappointed with the original headset unless you've owned/experienced some really high-end audio equipment before.

I got the next model along from these (cloud ii) and they're insane, really really great headphones
Cracking gaming headset. Can't fault Kingston customer service, had a replacement mic sent out no questions asked. Sound is great and with the set I bought it came with all the accessories including the fabric ear cups, as apposed to the leatherette ones, which I find more comfortable and I don't get really warm ears!

yes they do, they are just stereo headphones with a mic and a 4 pole connector so just straight into the port on your controller. sound is excellent.
