I think your missing the point. There's no point spending 400 plus on a 32 inch 4K monitor if you don't have the graphics card to support it. This gives a really great picture at 2560.

I have a 32" AOC monitor. You soon get used to the size. It makes my Dell 24" monitor small.
Will get 4k eventually.

This is a monitor. Computers have supported this resolution for years. And it is indeed a "standard". Which is far more common than 4k is still (in computer monitor world). By a long way. You want a 4k monitor? Fine, buy one. Want a (W)QHD one (with (W)QHD being a recognised "standard" - as you seem to be so obsessed with them - for monitors .... which this is), buy this. Or one of the many other available (W)QHD monitors out there.

Well i was wrong about 2K, should know better than to apply logic in this land of confusion. But it is still a long way short of 4K. Wouldn't it be great if we had leadership in the UK with a set of balls and some sense of fair play. Someone who looked after the people, so manufacturers didn't pull the wool over the eyes of consumers. It's going to hell since the OFT was shut down, not that they were much use most of the time.

Nothing has changed, it is what it has always been. 4k is 4 times the number of pixels of FHD. Its a bit like going from a 20 tv to a 40" tv, based on the single measurement it is twice the size but actually has 4 times the surface area.
2k was never 2 x FHD it just stood for 2000 pixels wide. It was probably just apple trying to sell near enough FHD screens on their Mac books but wanting to make them sound better. The monitor on this post is as close to twice as many pixels as FHD as you could reasonably get.

Has someone gone and changed the definition of 4K/2K? I'm so used to 4K being four times the resolution of full hd (1080) and 2k being twice that of full hd. It's so annoying when someone goes and changes the definition of something at will. No surprise so many people are confused. So now i have to get used to the fact that 2K is not twice the definition anymore. I wonder if my full hd monitor is actually full hd these days and not full hd and a half. Come to think of it, i believe that my full fat milk is probably full fat and three quarters because i am 2lb's heavier than i was last year.

Not sure you are correct there. FHD is 1080 by 1920 on the long edge, 2k is measured on the long edge at 2048. A whole extra 128 pixels wider. Have a read of this.

4K is 3840 x 2160 pixels, Giving a total of 8294400 Pixels. This has 2560 x 1440 pixels, giving a total of 3686400 pixels. That's a bit like a car salesman offering to sell you a car, claiming it to be a state of the art sports car (like a Mclaren 650S) and selling you a mondeo.

4k tv can do much better than this and much more . 4k is a standard for movies now like 1080p was before. It does not even have bandwidth to carry the signal as not even single hdmi 2.0. Even the new Xbox one s comes with 4k so this monitor is already obsolete. There is no standard for 1440p so its pretty dumb to buy monitor with highest resolution is 1440p

1440p is VERY common. And while it takes a decent GFX card to drive it, it take WAY more GFX power to run anything well @ 4k resolutions.
Price for this seems reasonable. 1440p should look pretty good on a 32" panel. (I run 1440p on a 25" panel so it's VERY sharp.) How good value it represents would be determined by the audio. Most monitor speakers are terrible. They've obviously tried to put good audio in this, so if it does away with the need for separate speakers, that's a win. Assuming you're only using stereo speakers of course. This won't be a match for any half decent 5.1 system ...
